Bodrum Airport to Türkbükü, Gündoğan & Torba Transfer

The north coast of the Bodrum peninsula is the calmer, more exclusive side: green hills running down to sheltered bays. Torba, Gündoğan and Türkbükü are all under an hour from Bodrum-Milas Airport. This guide explains how the bays line up, why the farthest one is not the slowest to reach, and how they compare with Bodrum town and Gümbet.

How the northern bays line up

Bodrum-Milas Airport (BJV) is on the mainland near Milas, so every transfer first heads towards the peninsula and then splits north or south. On the northern shore the bays follow one another from east to west. Torba comes first, on the north-east side and close to Bodrum town. Further west are the neighbouring bays of Gündoğan and Türkbükü, and beyond them lies Yalıkavak.

Compared with the busier southern side, these bays are quieter and more upmarket, with villas scattered across the slopes above the sea. If you are still deciding where to stay, our Bodrum peninsula areas guide compares the character of each part of the peninsula.

Torba: the quickest of the three

At about 33 km and around 37 minutes, Torba is the closest bay on the north coast to the airport. It is even a little quicker to reach than Bodrum town, which makes it a convenient base for people who want a peaceful bay but still like the option of an evening in town. For a late landing it is an easy last leg: you are usually checked in within the hour.

Live prices for this trip are on the Bodrum-Milas Airport to Torba route page, and the Torba transfer page has more on the area.

Gündoğan and Türkbükü: further west, and a small surprise

The two neighbouring bays west of Torba are where the figures get interesting. Türkbükü is the longer drive on paper, about 47 km, yet it usually takes around 44 minutes. Gündoğan is a touch shorter, about 45 km, but tends to take around 48 minutes. The difference comes down to the roads leading into each bay rather than the straight distance, and in practice both arrive within a few minutes of each other.

Either way, you are looking at well under an hour from the arrivals hall to the bay.

North coast or south side?

Many first-time visitors weigh the northern bays against the livelier south, around Bodrum town and Gümbet. From the airport's point of view the difference is small:

  • Torba: about 33 km, around 37 minutes
  • Bodrum town: about 36 km, around 40 minutes
  • Gümbet: about 39 km, around 43 minutes
  • Türkbükü: about 47 km, around 44 minutes
  • Gündoğan: about 45 km, around 48 minutes

So the transfer time should not drive your choice. The real question is the kind of holiday you want: the north for calm water and a slower pace, the south for nightlife, bars and the bustle of the harbour. Our Bodrum hotel guide covers places to stay on both sides.

Villas on the hillside: help the driver find you

A lot of accommodation on the north coast is private villas and holiday homes up on the slopes above the bays, reached by winding lanes. These are lovely places to stay but not always easy to find from a written address. When you book, please send a location pin, and if the owner gave you a gate code, a landmark or a photo of the entrance, pass that on too. It saves time at the end of a long travel day and means your luggage goes to the front door, not the bottom of the hill. If you are not sure of the exact spot yourself, the villa owner or agency can usually share a map link, which you can forward to us unchanged.

Picking the right vehicle

Every transfer is private, so the vehicle carries only your group and makes no stops at other hotels. Choose by the number of people:

  • Minivan: one to six passengers
  • VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito: up to seven passengers
  • Mercedes Sprinter: eight to sixteen, ideal for villa groups and family gatherings

The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, so a group of six sharing one van pays the same as a couple would for that vehicle. Luggage is free, and so are child seats; just tell us the children's ages in advance.

Villa parties often arrive in stages, with friends or relatives landing on different flights or even different days. That is no problem: each arrival can be booked as its own transfer with the right size of vehicle, so nobody has to wait hours at the airport for the last plane of the day. Simply list the flight numbers and head counts in one message and we will quote every leg together.

Arrival and the trip back to the airport

On arrival your driver waits at the exit with a name sign. The flight is tracked, so if you land late the waiting is free, and there is no night surcharge. You pay in the vehicle in cash, or by card if agreed when booking. There is no prepayment, and cancellation is free.

For the return journey, give us your flight time and we will suggest a pickup time from your bay that leaves room for the drive and check-in. More general tips for this airport are in our Bodrum airport transfer guide. To book either direction, message us on WhatsApp or by e-mail; a fixed quote comes back within a minute.
