Where Milas-Bodrum Airport is

Despite the name, Milas-Bodrum Airport is not on the peninsula itself. It lies on the mainland near the town of Milas, and every journey to the resorts crosses into the peninsula and then branches off to the individual bays. The main road is good, but the last part to a bay or a hillside villa can be narrow and winding.

That is why the most useful question before booking is not 'how far is Bodrum?' but which bay are you staying in. Bodrum town, Gümbet and Bitez are on the south side; Ortakent, Turgutreis and Akyarlar on the south-west; Yalıkavak, Gündoğan and Türkbükü on the north coast; Torba is on the eastern edge. Each route page lists the vehicle options and live prices for that destination.

Arrival: what happens after you land

  1. Passport control and baggage. International arrivals go through passport control before the baggage hall; domestic flights come straight to the belts.
  2. Meet your driver. Walk out into the arrivals hall. Your driver is waiting with a sign showing your name.
  3. Late flight? We track your flight number, so the driver knows about a delay before you do. Waiting for a delayed flight is free.
  4. To the car. The driver helps with the bags and walks you to the vehicle in the car park.
  5. Door to door. The car drives only for you – no hotel-by-hotel shuttle – and stops at your hotel entrance or villa gate.

If you are arriving at night, nothing changes: there is no night surcharge and the price agreed when you booked stays the same.

The peninsula areas at a glance

  • Bodrum town – the castle, the marina, the old streets and the busiest evenings. See Bodrum Airport to Bodrum.
  • Gümbet – next to the town, a lively beach bay popular with younger travellers.
  • Bitez and Ortakent – calmer bays with long beaches and a family feel.
  • Turgutreis and Akyarlar – the far south-west, known for sunsets and views to the Greek islands. See Bodrum Airport to Turgutreis.
  • Yalıkavak – the north-west, with a large marina and an upmarket atmosphere.
  • Gündoğan and Türkbükü – north-coast bays with wooden piers and beach clubs.
  • Torba – a quieter bay just north-east of Bodrum town, nearest to the airport side.

Going to Marmaris? Fly into Dalaman instead

Marmaris is often grouped with Bodrum in holiday searches, but it is a different peninsula. The two are separated by the Gulf of Gökova, and the road between them goes the long way round. From Dalaman Airport (DLM), Marmaris is ≈ 96 km, about 95 minutes, and İçmeler ≈ 103 km, about 105 minutes – usually the shorter trip.

We can still drive you from Bodrum Airport to Marmaris if that is where your flight lands, for example on a two-centre holiday. But if you are still choosing flights, compare Dalaman first. The route page Dalaman Airport to Marmaris shows the vehicles and live prices.

And if you only find a cheap flight to Antalya: Bodrum is ≈ 433 km from Antalya Airport, around 365 minutes by road – possible, but a full travel day.

Vehicles and what is included

Every transfer is private. You choose the vehicle by group size:

  • Minivan – 1 to 6 passengers
  • VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito – 1 to 7 passengers
  • Mercedes Sprinter – 8 to 16 passengers, ideal for weddings, families travelling together and villa groups

The price is per vehicle, not per person, and it is fixed when you book. It does not change because of traffic, a night landing or the amount of luggage – there is no luggage fee. Child seats are free; tell us the children's ages. Pushchairs, golf bags and diving gear are fine if we know in advance.

There is no prepayment. You pay in the vehicle, in cash, or by card if you agree that beforehand. Cancellation is free.

Your departure day

Book the return when you book the arrival – it saves a message later. Tell us your flight time and the hotel, and we will suggest a pick-up time based on the distance from your bay. As a rule, check with your airline how early they want you at the airport, and remember that the north-coast bays and the far west of the peninsula need more driving time than Torba or Bodrum town.

In high season the peninsula roads are busier, especially in the evening, so a little extra time is never wasted. Ask reception or your villa owner about late check-out if your flight is in the evening.

How to book

Send your flight number, arrival date, address and the number of people on WhatsApp, or use the booking form. You get a fixed-price quote within a minute, and you can book 24/7. Have a different question first? Look at our general transfer FAQ.
