Alanya Transfer from Antalya Airport

Alanya is a lively coastal town at the eastern end of the Antalya region, instantly recognisable by its rocky peninsula crowned with a medieval castle. Below the walls, the octagonal Red Tower guards the harbour, and Cleopatra Beach curves away to the west with views back to the castle hill.

Alanya has a real town feel, with a busy centre, a harbour full of excursion boats, markets, restaurants and nightlife, alongside long sandy beaches on both sides of the peninsula. It is popular with families, couples, groups of friends and long-stay visitors, and many people own or rent apartments here. The Taurus Mountains rise close behind the town, keeping the green backdrop that frames the coast.

The distance is roughly 125 km and the transfer normally takes about 2 hours, depending on traffic and on which part of Alanya you are heading to. The route follows the main coastal highway east past Serik and Manavgat, then runs along the sea through the resort villages west of Alanya before reaching the town.

How your arrival works:

• We track your flight, so the driver is there at your actual landing time.
• After passport control and baggage claim, your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name.
• He helps with the luggage and walks you to the vehicle.
• The transfer is private: no other passengers and no detours to other hotels, which matters on a longer drive.

A private vehicle is especially comfortable for this distance, as you go straight to your door rather than waiting for a shared bus to fill up.

Alanya stretches a long way along the coast. West of the town, Okurcalar, Avsallar and Konaklı have many beach resorts and are reached a little sooner from Antalya. The town centre, around Cleopatra Beach and the harbour, has hotels and apartments within walking distance of shops and restaurants. To the east, districts such as Oba, Tosmur, Kestel and Mahmutlar are full of apartment complexes and hotels popular with long-stay guests.

Alanya has plenty to see in town, and a private car opens up the countryside around it:

• Alanya Castle, with sweeping views over the sea, reached by road or by cable car.
• The Red Tower and the old shipyard by the harbour.
• Damlataş Cave, a dripstone cave right by Cleopatra Beach.
• The Dim river valley, with riverside restaurants and the Dim Cave in the hills.
• Sapadere Canyon, a cool gorge with walkways in the Taurus foothills.

For your departure, plan to be at Antalya Airport about 2.5 to 3 hours before an international flight, and check your airline's advice. Because the drive takes around 2 hours, a pick-up about 5 hours before departure is sensible, a little earlier from the eastern districts. For a 14:00 flight, for example, we would usually collect you at about 09:00.
