How far is Bodrum from Antalya?

Bodrum sits at the far western end of the Turkish Mediterranean, on its own peninsula. From Antalya Airport the road distance to Bodrum town is ≈433 km, with a typical drive time of ≈365 minutes. The route heads west past the Fethiye and Dalaman region and on through Muğla province; summer traffic near the resorts can add time.

Put simply, this is a full travel day. It is a longer journey than many domestic flights, and it only makes sense when the reason to start in Antalya is a good one. Live vehicle prices are on the Antalya Airport to Bodrum route page.

Check this first: can you fly to Milas-Bodrum?

If your whole holiday is in Bodrum, land at Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV). It lies ≈36 km from Bodrum town, so the transfer is short compared with six hours on the road. We meet arrivals there too, with the same name sign, flight tracking and fixed price per vehicle — see the Milas-Bodrum Airport to Bodrum route.

There is no reason to land in Antalya just to drive to Bodrum, unless the flights simply do not work for you. We would rather tell you that now than have you spend a day in a car you did not need.

Who actually takes the Antalya–Bodrum road?

  • Two-centre holidays. A week in Belek, Side or Kemer, then a week on the Bodrum peninsula. The transfer runs from one hotel door to the next, so you never handle luggage in between. Our guide to changing hotels mid-holiday covers check-out and timing.
  • Groups. A wedding party, a family reunion or a sports team of up to 16 travels together in one Sprinter, instead of splitting across flights and cars.
  • A tour or cruise ending in Antalya. When a boat trip or round tour finishes on the Antalya coast and the next part of the stay is in Bodrum, the private car links the two.
  • Flight availability. Some travellers find an arrival at AYT much easier than any route to BJV on their dates.

Bodrum town or the peninsula resorts?

The Bodrum peninsula spreads out in every direction from the town and its castle, and each resort has a slightly different drive time from Antalya Airport:

  • Bodrum town — ≈433 km / ≈365 min.
  • Gümbet, the lively bay just west of the town — ≈435 km / ≈370 min.
  • Turgutreis, on the west coast with its marina — ≈452 km / ≈380 min.
  • Yalıkavak, in the north-west with its marina — ≈450 km / ≈380 min.

Give us the exact hotel or villa address, because peninsula roads branch a lot. Our Bodrum peninsula areas guide helps if you have not picked a resort yet.

Planning a six-hour drive

Start time. When travelling hotel to hotel, a morning departure gets you to Bodrum in the afternoon, in daylight and in time for check-in. From the airport, the start depends on your landing; with a late flight, consider a night near Antalya and leaving the next morning.

Breaks. Six hours is a long time to sit. If you want a stop for lunch or a stretch, tell us when booking so it is part of the plan.

One vehicle for everyone. A Minivan takes 1–6 people, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito 1–7 and a Mercedes Sprinter 8–16. For a big group, one Sprinter keeps everyone together and arriving at the same time. Mention large suitcases, golf bags or a pushchair so the vehicle has room; there is no luggage fee, and child seats are free on request.

The reverse direction: Bodrum to Antalya Airport

Some travellers end their holiday in Bodrum but fly home from Antalya. Work backwards: airlines usually want you at the airport two to three hours before an international flight, and the drive itself is about six hours. That means leaving Bodrum roughly nine hours before take-off, more in peak summer.

For a morning flight from Antalya, the better plan is usually to make the drive the day before and spend the last night close to the airport. Alternatively, check whether a flight home from Milas-Bodrum fits your plans.

Hotels set their own check-out times, so if your pick-up is early in the morning, settle the bill the evening before and ask reception whether breakfast can be packed. If the pick-up is late in the day, ask about late check-out or a place to leave your bags. Either way, book this leg together with the outward one so both dates are fixed from the start.

Price, booking and payment

Message us on WhatsApp or use the booking form with your date, pick-up point, Bodrum address and number of travellers, and you get a fixed-price quote within a minute. The price is per vehicle, agreed before the trip, and not changed for traffic, night hours or luggage. There is no prepayment — pay in the vehicle in cash, or by card if agreed in advance — and cancellation is free.
