Antalya to Fethiye Transfer: Drive Time and the Dalaman Option

A private transfer from Antalya Airport (AYT) to Fethiye covers ≈230 km and takes ≈200 minutes, so think of it as a three-and-a-half-hour trip door to door. If your flights are not booked yet, Dalaman Airport (DLM) is far closer — Fethiye is only ≈55 km / ≈55 minutes from there — but landing in Antalya can still be the right choice.

The short answer: how long is the drive?

From Antalya Airport the road distance to Fethiye town is ≈230 km, and the drive takes ≈200 minutes in normal conditions. Ölüdeniz, south of Fethiye over the hill, is ≈248 km / ≈215 minutes. Göcek, west of Fethiye, is slightly nearer at ≈218 km / ≈185 minutes. In high season, and when passing through town centres, allow extra time.

That is a genuine journey, not a quick hotel run: roughly three times the drive from AYT to Side. In a private car the clock starts when you sit down — no waiting for other passengers, no detours to other hotels, and the driver takes you straight to your own accommodation. Live prices for the vehicle are on the Antalya Airport to Fethiye route page.

Antalya or Dalaman: which airport suits Fethiye?

Look at the map honestly: Dalaman is the natural airport for Fethiye. From DLM it is ≈55 km / ≈55 minutes to Fethiye, ≈49 km / ≈50 minutes to Çalış, ≈63 km / ≈70 minutes to Ölüdeniz and just ≈25 km / ≈25 minutes to Göcek. If a convenient Dalaman flight exists for your dates, it saves you well over two hours each way.

We cover both airports with the same service — meet & greet with a name sign, flight tracking and a fixed price per vehicle — so the decision is only about your flights. The Dalaman Airport to Fethiye route shows the shorter option, and our Fethiye and Dalaman airport transfer guide covers it in detail.

When landing in Antalya still makes sense

  • More flights to choose from. Antalya is a much bigger airport, and many Dalaman connections are seasonal. A direct flight to AYT can beat a change of planes on the way to DLM.
  • Better times. A morning landing in Antalya can get you to Fethiye by mid-afternoon, earlier than a late-evening Dalaman arrival.
  • Two holidays in one. You want a few days in Kaleiçi, Kemer or Belek first and then a week around Fethiye. You arrive at AYT anyway, and the long leg runs hotel to hotel. Our two-centre holiday guide explains how that day works.
  • Open jaw. Fly in to Antalya, fly home from Dalaman, and the long drive happens only once.

If none of these apply, compare the Dalaman flights first before committing to the longer road.

Fethiye, Çalış, Ölüdeniz or Göcek: where are you going?

“Fethiye” on a booking can mean several quite different places, and the drive time changes with each one:

  • Fethiye town — the harbour, marina and old town; ≈230 km / ≈200 min from AYT.
  • Çalış — the long beach just north of the town, known for its sunsets; ≈228 km / ≈198 min.
  • Ölüdeniz — the lagoon and the paragliding beach below Babadağ; ≈248 km / ≈215 min. Hisarönü and Ovacık are on the road up to it.
  • Göcek — the quiet yachting village with its bays; ≈218 km / ≈185 min.

Send us the exact hotel or villa name so the driver goes to the right door. Still choosing a base? Read where to stay in Fethiye.

Making a three-and-a-half-hour drive comfortable

A long transfer goes smoothly when the car fits the group and its bags. Choose a Minivan for 1–6 people, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito for 1–7, or a Mercedes Sprinter for 8–16. Two weeks of luggage, a pushchair or diving gear take space, so tell us what you are carrying and we suggest the right vehicle. There is no luggage fee.

  • Children: child seats are free on request — just tell us the ages when booking.
  • A stop on the way: if you would like a break during the drive, tell us when booking.
  • Delays: we track your flight, and waiting for a late plane is free.
  • Night landings: the price is the same at 3 a.m. as at noon; there is no night surcharge.

After an early start and a flight, many travellers simply sleep for the first hour. That is the advantage over driving a hire car on an unfamiliar mountain road while tired.

Booking and paying for the transfer

Send your flight number, arrival date, number of passengers and the hotel name by WhatsApp or through the booking form. You receive a fixed-price quote within a minute. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and it is agreed before the trip — traffic, a delayed flight, night hours or extra suitcases do not change it.

No prepayment is needed: you pay in the vehicle, in cash, or by card if agreed in advance. Cancellation is free. You can book the return transfer at the same time, from Fethiye back to Antalya or to Dalaman.

The return day: when to leave Fethiye

Work backwards from your departure time. Airlines usually ask you to be at the airport two to three hours before an international flight; add the ≈200-minute drive from Fethiye and some margin for summer traffic, and you are leaving about six to six and a half hours before take-off. From Ölüdeniz, set off a little earlier.

For an early-morning flight from Antalya, that can mean a pick-up in the middle of the night. In that case it may be worth spending your last night near Antalya, or choosing a flight home from Dalaman, which is under an hour from most Fethiye hotels. Check-out times are set by your hotel, so ask reception about late check-out or luggage storage if you leave in the evening.
