The distance from Kaleiçi to Kalkan is roughly 213 km, and the journey normally takes about three and a half hours. After leaving Antalya, the road follows the coast west past Kemer, then cuts inland over the hills to Kumluca before rejoining the sea at Finike and Demre. Beyond Kaş, the final stretch hugs the cliffs high above the water, passing the famous Kaputaş beach, before dropping down into Kalkan. Expect plenty of curves on the western half: it is a road to enjoy rather than rush. In July and August, and on weekends, allow a little extra time.
