Kalkan to Kaleiçi Transfer

Kaleiçi lies about 208 km from Kalkan, and the drive normally takes around 3 hours 20 minutes. You start on the cliff road to Kaş, then head east through Demre, Finike and Kumluca, with the sea close by on your right for much of the way. Beyond Kumluca the road crosses the hills, drops down to the coast near Kemer and runs north along the shore to Antalya, entering the city from the west before winding towards the historic centre.

Bends, mountain sections and summer traffic in the towns set the pace more than the distance does. A start in the morning means you reach the old town in good time and in daylight.

Kalkan is all about sea views, swimming and slow evenings; Kaleiçi offers the opposite – centuries-old houses, the Roman harbour, small museums and lively streets. Pairing the two makes a well-balanced holiday, and many guests add a few nights in the old town before travelling home. Families visiting relatives in the city and travellers with business in Antalya make the same trip.

Much of Kaleiçi is a maze of narrow lanes where cars are restricted or simply do not fit. Your driver brings you to the closest point that can be reached by car, normally a short walk from your door.
