Early Flight from Antalya: How to Plan a Pre-Dawn Transfer

For an early flight from Antalya, aim to be at the airport about 2.5–3 hours before take-off and work backwards from there: for a 06:00 departure that means a pick-up around 02:00 from Belek and around 00:30 from Alanya. Settle your hotel bill the evening before, set two alarms and book a private transfer that collects you at the hotel entrance at the agreed time, with no night surcharge.

How early to be at Antalya Airport

For an early-morning departure the rule of thumb is simple: plan to reach Antalya Airport (AYT) about 2.5 to 3 hours before take-off. In summer the first wave of flights leaves before sunrise, and check-in, bag drop and security can be busy even at 03:00. Your airline sets the actual check-in and bag-drop deadlines, so look them up in your booking or app before you plan anything else.

Once you know your target arrival time at the terminal, work backwards: subtract the drive time from your hotel, then add a buffer. The buffer covers a slow start at reception, a last-minute search for a passport or a sleepy child who needs an extra five minutes. At night the roads are usually quieter, but quiet roads are a reason to relax, not a reason to cut it fine.

Pick-up times for a 06:00 flight: worked examples

The examples below assume a 06:00 departure and a target arrival at the terminal of around 03:00. Drive times are typical road times from each area; at night they are often on the shorter side, but we still keep a margin.

  • Lara (≈ 14 km, ≈ 20 min): pick-up around 02:20–02:30.
  • Belek (≈ 35 km, ≈ 40 min): pick-up around 02:00.
  • Kemer (≈ 58 km, ≈ 70 min): pick-up around 01:30.
  • Side (≈ 65 km, ≈ 75 min): pick-up around 01:30.
  • Alanya (≈ 125 km, ≈ 2 h): pick-up around 00:30.

For a 07:00 flight shift everything one hour later; for 05:00, one hour earlier. When you book, tell us your flight time and hotel and agree the pick-up time with us. Each route is described in detail here: Belek to Antalya Airport, Side to Antalya Airport, Kemer to Antalya Airport and Alanya to Antalya Airport.

Check out the evening before

The single most useful step for a night transfer is to settle everything at reception the evening before. Pay for any extras and hand back what you can, so that at 01:30 you only need to drop your key. Things worth asking reception about:

  • Whether they can prepare a breakfast box or a light snack for early leavers.
  • Where the luggage room is, if you would like to bring your cases down earlier.
  • Which entrance is used at night, so you and the driver are at the same door.
  • How to return wristbands, safe keys or towel cards.

Pack the night before as well. Leave out only the clothes you will travel in, your phone charger and your documents, ideally in one bag you can grab without thinking.

Sleep, alarms and getting everyone up

Set two alarms, one on your phone and one on a second device, or ask reception for a wake-up call. Allow 30 to 40 minutes between waking up and the pick-up time: enough to get dressed, do a final room check and get downstairs without rushing. A quick sweep is worth it: safe, bathroom, chargers next to the bed, wardrobe and balcony.

Most travellers are better off sleeping for a few hours than staying up all night. Have an early dinner, finish packing and go to bed straight after. The drive itself is a chance to doze, too: with a private transfer nobody else gets on or off, so the vehicle goes straight from your hotel to the terminal.

Travelling with children at night

Children woken at 01:00 are often still half asleep in the car, so it pays to have everything ready. If you need a baby seat or a child seat, mention it when you book: child seats are free on request and are fitted before the vehicle reaches your hotel, so you can move a sleeping child straight into the seat.

  • Dress the kids in comfortable travel clothes, or put a jumper over their pyjamas.
  • Keep a small bag with a blanket, a favourite toy, water and a snack within reach.
  • Fold the stroller in advance so loading takes seconds.

Same price at night, and how the pick-up works

A pre-dawn transfer costs the same as one in the middle of the day. The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, and agreed before the trip; there is no night surcharge and no luggage fee, and the price does not change because of traffic. You pay in the vehicle, in cash or by card if agreed in advance, with no prepayment.

At the agreed time the driver comes to your hotel entrance. Pick a vehicle that fits your group and bags: a Minivan for up to 6 people, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito for up to 7 or a Mercedes Sprinter for 8 to 16. If you book your arrival transfer with us, you can book the return at the same time, so the early pick-up is arranged from day one. Bookings are open 24/7 via WhatsApp or the booking form.

Checklist for the night before

  1. Check your flight time and your airline's check-in deadline.
  2. Double-check the pick-up time and hotel name in your booking.
  3. Settle the bill and ask about a breakfast box at reception.
  4. Pack, and keep passports and boarding passes in one place.
  5. Charge your phone and set two alarms.
  6. Lay out travel clothes for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I leave my hotel for a 06:00 flight from Antalya?

Aim to reach the airport around 03:00. That means a pick-up around 02:20–02:30 from Lara, around 02:00 from Belek, around 01:30 from Kemer or Side and around 00:30 from Alanya.

Is there a night surcharge for an early-morning transfer?

No. The price is fixed per vehicle and agreed before the trip, and it is the same at night as during the day. There is no luggage fee either.

Usually yes, and night drives are often a little quicker than the typical times. Still keep a buffer, because check-in and security at AYT can be busy early in the morning.

Can I have a child seat for a night transfer?

Yes. Child seats are free on request; mention the age of your children when booking so the right seats are fitted before pick-up.

Where does the driver pick me up?

At your hotel entrance at the agreed time. Ask reception the evening before which entrance is used at night.

Can I book the airport return together with my arrival?

Yes, you can book both transfers at the same time via WhatsApp or the booking form, and pay in the vehicle with no prepayment.

Is the transfer private or shared?

All our transfers are 100% private; the vehicle is dedicated to your group only, with no other passengers.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?
