Kaleiçi is Antalya's historic walled quarter, built on a cliff above the old harbour. Its lanes were laid out long before cars existed: they are narrow, paved with cobbles or stone, often sloping, and some of them are reserved for pedestrians. Many of the most charming small hotels are tucked deep inside this maze, sometimes at the end of a lane that is barely wider than a person with a suitcase.
So when you book a Kaleiçi hotel transfer, expect a door-to-door ride for most of the way and a short walk at the end. This is not a limitation of one vehicle type; even the smallest vehicle cannot use a lane that is closed to traffic or physically too narrow. Some hotels on the outer streets can be reached directly, others are a few minutes' walk from the nearest point where a car can stop. The key is knowing in advance which case applies to your hotel.
