Antalya Nightlife: Where to Go Out and Get Home Safely

Antalya's evenings centre on a few areas: Kaleiçi and the city side of Lara and Konyaaltı in Antalya itself, the centre of Alanya and the old town of Side. The safest way home is a private car booked in advance, with the pick-up time and place agreed and a fixed price that does not change at night.

The short answer

If you are staying in a resort hotel, the evening life you are looking for is usually a drive away. In Antalya city, people head to Kaleiçi, the walled old town above the harbour, or to the busier city side of Lara and Konyaaltı. Further east, Alanya centre and Side town are the evening magnets of their regions.

Getting there is rarely the problem. Getting back late, tired, maybe in a group and in an unfamiliar place, is what deserves a plan. Book the ride home before you go out, agree the time and meeting point, and you will not have to negotiate anything at the end of the night.

Kaleiçi: lanes, harbour and old houses

Kaleiçi is Antalya's historic core: narrow lanes, restored Ottoman houses and the old Roman harbour below the walls. In the evening the area fills up with people strolling, eating outside and listening to live music. It is compact and walkable, but the lanes are cobbled and steep in places, so comfortable shoes help.

Cars cannot enter every street of the old town. When you book a pick-up, agree on a clear point at its edge, such as near Hadrian's Gate or a main road by the clock tower, rather than a café deep inside the lanes. From Antalya Airport, Kaleiçi is about 16 km (≈25 min); see the Kaleiçi route page for live prices.

Lara and Konyaaltı: the city side

Lara, east of the centre, and Konyaaltı, along the long pebble beach to the west, are both part of the city. Their main roads and seafront have plenty of places that stay lively into the night, especially in summer. Because they are in town, distances are short: Lara is about 14 km from the airport (≈20 min) and Konyaaltı about 27 km (≈35 min).

If your hotel is in Belek, Kundu or Kemer, a night in the city means a longer ride back. That is where a pre-booked car makes the most sense: you know who is coming, when, and for what price. If you are still choosing where to stay, read Lara, Kundu, Konyaaltı or Kaleiçi.

Alanya centre and Side town

In Alanya, evening life gathers around the centre and the harbour below the castle hill. Hotels in Mahmutlar, Oba, Kestel or Konaklı are within a short drive, but late at night you will still want the ride home arranged.

Side is different: the old town sits on a small peninsula among ancient ruins, and in the evening its lanes and the harbour front are busy with diners and walkers. Many hotels are in Kumköy, Çolaklı, Sorgun or Titreyengöl, a short drive away. Vehicles are restricted in parts of the old town, so agree a pick-up point at its entrance. For the area itself, see our Side ancient city guide.

Getting home safely: a simple checklist

  • Book the return before you leave. Decide the time with a little margin; if plans change, message us on WhatsApp as early as you can.
  • Agree a meeting point the driver can reach. A gate, a square or a main road works better than a venue name.
  • Save the hotel's name and address on your phone and keep a card from reception.
  • Stay together. Agree in the group who leaves when, so nobody has to find a ride alone.
  • Keep your phone charged. A small power bank is worth carrying.
  • Keep an eye on your drinks and belongings, as you would in any busy nightlife area.

Why a pre-booked private car works at night

A private transfer is booked for your group only, never shared with strangers. The price is fixed per vehicle, agreed before the trip, and not changed for traffic or the late hour: there is no night surcharge. You pay in the vehicle, cash or card if agreed in advance, and there is no prepayment.

  • Minivan for 1–6 people
  • VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito for 1–7
  • Mercedes Sprinter for 8–16, useful for groups, hen and stag parties or wedding guests

You can book 24/7 via WhatsApp or the booking form and receive a fixed-price quote within 1 minute. Cancellation is free, which matters when evening plans change. For the difference to hailing a car on the street, see private transfer vs taxi in Antalya.

Planning a full evening or a late flight

Some guests combine a night out with something else: a dinner in Kaleiçi and then the airport for an early flight, or a group evening in Alanya followed by the ride back to Side. Tell us the whole plan when booking and we will tell you what is possible. If your flight leaves in the early hours, it is often easier to go straight from the city to the airport than to go back to the hotel first; keep your luggage with you or arrange to collect it on the way.

Whatever you plan, the rule is the same: decide how you get home while you are still fresh, not at the end of the night.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a night surcharge for a late pick-up?

No. The price is fixed per vehicle and agreed before the trip; it does not change for a late hour, traffic or luggage.

Can the driver pick us up inside Kaleiçi?

Not every lane in the old town is open to cars. Agree a clear point at its edge, such as near Hadrian's Gate or a main road, when you book.

We do not know when we will want to leave. What should we do?

Choose a realistic time with some margin when booking. If your plans change during the evening, message us on WhatsApp as early as possible.

Is the car shared with other passengers?

No. All our transfers are private; only your group travels in the vehicle.

We are a group of 12. Can we travel together?

Yes. A Mercedes Sprinter carries 8 to 16 passengers, so the whole group can travel in one vehicle.

How do we pay?

In the vehicle, in cash, or by card if agreed in advance. There is no prepayment and cancellation is free.

Is the transfer private or shared?

All our transfers are 100% private; the vehicle is dedicated to your group only, with no other passengers.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

The price is per vehicle. One passenger or six pay the same fare in the same vehicle.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight live and adjust the pickup time to the new landing time, free of charge.

Is prepayment required?

No, standard bookings need no prepayment; you can pay the driver at the end of the transfer.
