Antalya Airport (AYT) lies on the eastern edge of the city. That makes the Lara coast, directly to its south, the quickest place to reach: about 14 km and around 20 minutes. Everything else on the city side is further west, and the further west your address, the more of Antalya you have to drive through.
Think of it as a line running from east to west. Lara is at the start, the city centre and Kaleiçi are in the middle, and Konyaaltı is at the far end, where the long pebble beach runs towards the mountains. The kilometres do not grow much from one to the next, but the traffic in between does.
This matters most when you compare offers or plan a tight evening. A dinner reservation in the old town an hour after landing is realistic; the same plan for Konyaaltı leaves less slack. And if you are splitting your holiday, say a few nights in Kaleiçi and then a week on the beach at Konyaaltı, the hop between the two is a short city ride, not another airport-length journey, so it is easy to arrange with the same company once you are here.
