Kaleiçi to Mahmutlar Transfer

Kaleiçi is Antalya's historic quarter, a maze of narrow lanes and old stone houses inside the city walls. Many of its streets are too narrow or closed to traffic, so the car stops at the nearest point it can reach to your guesthouse or boutique hotel. The transfer from Kaleiçi to Mahmutlar is about 147 km and usually takes around 2 hours 15 minutes. After leaving the city, the route follows the D400 east, passing the turn-offs for Belek, Side and Manavgat before reaching Alanya and its castle peninsula. Mahmutlar lies just east of Alanya town, along a long beach lined with apartment buildings and hotels.

It is a pleasant coastal drive, with the Taurus mountains inland for much of the way. Summer traffic, especially in Manavgat and Alanya in the afternoon, can add time; morning departures tend to be quicker.

Many travellers combine a few nights in the old town with a longer beach stay in Mahmutlar, often in a rented apartment, or come to visit friends and family who live there. Check-out in Kaleiçi is usually in the morning, while apartments and rooms in Mahmutlar are often ready in the afternoon – a late-morning departure works well. Ask about a luggage room or early check-in if you arrive early.
