The short answer

A private transfer from Antalya Airport (AYT) to Alanya centre covers roughly ≈125 km and takes about ≈120 minutes on a normal day. In high season, or when the roads around Antalya and Manavgat are busy, allow some extra time. The car is yours alone: no other passengers, no detours to other hotels, and the driver takes you straight to the entrance of your hotel or apartment block.

The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, and it is agreed before the trip. It does not change because of traffic, a late-night landing or an extra suitcase. You can see the current live price on the Antalya Airport to Alanya route page, or send a request on WhatsApp and receive a fixed-price quote within 1 minute. You pay in the vehicle, so there is no prepayment, and cancellation is free.

The route: east along the coast

After leaving the airport, the driver joins the main coastal highway heading east. For most of the journey the road runs parallel to the sea, with the Taurus Mountains rising on your left. You pass the Belek turn-offs after about ≈40 minutes, then the Side and Manavgat area roughly halfway. Manavgat is the last larger town before the Alanya district begins.

From there the road continues through a chain of beach villages – Okurcalar, İncekum, Avsallar, Türkler, Konaklı – before reaching Alanya itself, easy to recognise by the castle on its rocky headland. The districts east of the centre, such as Oba, Tosmur, Kestel and Mahmutlar, lie further along the same road. There are no mountain passes on this route, which makes it a comfortable ride for children and for anyone prone to car sickness.

Drive times to each Alanya area

Alanya is a long, stretched-out district, so “Alanya” can mean anything from a 100-minute to a 140-minute drive. Typical figures from Antalya Airport:

  • Okurcalar – ≈93 km, ≈99 min
  • İncekum – ≈95 km, ≈103 min
  • Avsallar – ≈101 km, ≈108 min
  • Türkler – ≈106 km, ≈112 min
  • Payallar – ≈110 km, ≈115 min
  • Konaklı – ≈117 km, ≈120 min
  • Alanya centre – ≈125 km, ≈120 min
  • Oba – ≈131 km, ≈126 min
  • Tosmur – ≈132 km, ≈127 min
  • Kestel – ≈134 km, ≈128 min
  • Mahmutlar – ≈137 km, ≈132 min
  • Kargıcak – ≈145 km, ≈140 min

These are typical times without heavy traffic. Staying in Mahmutlar? The Antalya Airport to Mahmutlar route shows the live price for that exact trip.

Antalya or Gazipaşa: which airport to choose

Alanya has a second, smaller airport: Gazipaşa-Alanya (GZP), east of the town. From there the distances are much shorter – Kargıcak ≈25 km (≈30 min), Mahmutlar ≈30 km (≈35 min), Oba ≈38 km (≈45 min), Alanya centre ≈40 km (≈50 min) and Konaklı ≈54 km (≈60 min).

A simple rule of thumb: if you are staying east of the centre (Oba, Kestel, Mahmutlar, Kargıcak) and a flight into Gazipaşa fits your dates, it saves you well over an hour in the car. Antalya, however, has far more routes and departure times, so it is often the only practical option. For the western villages such as Okurcalar or Avsallar the time saving is smaller, and Antalya usually wins on flight choice. We drive from both airports – see Gazipaşa airport transfers and our Gazipaşa to Alanya guide.

Arriving at Antalya Airport

After passport control and baggage reclaim, walk out into the arrivals hall. Your driver waits there with a sign showing your name, so there is no counter to find and no car park to search. We track your flight, which means a delay is not a problem: the driver works to the real landing time and the waiting is free.

If you land late at night, the price at 2 a.m. is the same as at 2 p.m. – there is no night surcharge. After a late landing, a two-hour drive straight to the hotel door is usually much easier than working out other transport. Give us your flight number when booking; that is all we need to follow the flight.

Families, groups and luggage

Three vehicle types cover every group size: a Minivan for 1–6 passengers, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito for 1–7, and a Mercedes Sprinter for 8–16. Because you pay per vehicle, a family of five or two couples travelling together share one car and one price.

Child seats are free on request; just tell us the children’s ages when you book so the right seats are fitted. There is no luggage fee, which matters on a two-week holiday with pushchairs, beach bags or golf clubs. For a bigger party – an extended family or a group of friends – one Sprinter keeps everyone together for the two-hour drive, so nobody is left waiting at the hotel for a second car.

The return day

For an international flight from Antalya, plan to leave Alanya centre about ≈4–5 hours before departure. That covers the ≈120-minute drive, a reserve for traffic and the time you need for check-in and security. From Mahmutlar or Kargıcak add a little more; from Okurcalar or Avsallar a little less. Check your airline’s recommended check-in time as well.

You can book the return together with the arrival transfer in a single message. Hotels set their own check-out times, so if your flight leaves in the evening, ask reception about a late check-out or somewhere to leave your bags. Still planning the holiday itself? Our Alanya travel guide covers the town, the castle and the beaches.
