Antalya Airport Terminal 1 or 2? Terminals Explained

Antalya Airport has three passenger terminals. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 handle international flights, and the Domestic terminal handles flights within Turkey, for example from Istanbul or Ankara. There is no simple rule such as "Terminal 1 is for one country and Terminal 2 for another": the terminal is decided by your airline and can differ between airlines, seasons and even individual flights.

So the honest answer to "Antalya Airport Terminal 1 or 2?" is: look at your own flight details. Your booking confirmation, boarding pass or airline app is the reliable source, not a list you found somewhere online. Terminal allocations change, and an outdated list is the most common reason travellers end up at the wrong building on their way home.

Use one of these sources, ideally a day or two before you travel and again on the day:

• Your airline app or website, under your booking or flight status.
• Your booking confirmation or e-ticket, which often names the departure terminal.
• Your boarding pass, once you have checked in online.
• The official airport flight information, searching by flight number.
• Your tour operator or travel agent, if you booked a package holiday.

For arrivals you do not have to work anything out: the aircraft parks where it is assigned, and you simply follow the signs to the exit. Knowing your arrival terminal mainly helps you and whoever is meeting you. Arriving at Antalya Airport follows the same order in every terminal:

1. Leave the aircraft and follow the signs for arrivals and passport control.
2. Passport control for international flights. In high season, queues can take a while, so do not worry if it is slower than you expected.
3. Baggage claim: check the screens for your flight's belt number.
4. Customs: walk through the exit for passengers with nothing to declare, unless you do have something to declare.
5. Arrivals hall: you come out into the public area, where people meeting passengers wait.

Moving between them takes time, and on separate tickets you will usually need to collect your luggage and check in again.

Plan a generous buffer between flights and confirm the connection process with your airline. If you are not connecting but simply flying in from another Turkish city, you arrive at the Domestic terminal, and your driver meets you there in the same way, with a name sign.

On the way back, the terminal matters more, because you need to be dropped at the correct departures entrance. When you book the return, or when the driver picks you up at the hotel, tell him your airline and flight number so he takes you straight to the right terminal. If your terminal has changed since you booked, just tell the driver.
