Antalya Airport to Okurcalar, İncekum & Avsallar Transfer

Okurcalar, İncekum and Avsallar sit on the quieter western stretch of the Alanya coast, a good hour and a half east of Antalya Airport. Many travellers wonder whether Gazipaşa would be quicker. This guide puts the two airports side by side with real drive times, so you can judge the trade-off before you book a flight or a transfer.

A string of villages between Manavgat and Alanya

West of Alanya town the coast is lined with a chain of resort villages rather than one big centre. Travelling east, you meet them in this order: Okurcalar first, then İncekum, Avsallar, Türkler and Konaklı, and finally Alanya town itself. Each has its own small high street and a run of beach hotels, and they are close enough to one another that the differences in drive time are measured in minutes, not hours.

That order matters, because the two airports lie at opposite ends of the line. Antalya Airport (AYT) is to the west, so Okurcalar is the first stop coming from there. Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is east of Alanya town, so from there you drive through Alanya and then continue west along the shore to reach the same villages. If you want a feel for the character of each area before choosing a hotel, our Alanya where-to-stay guide covers them in more detail.

Drive times from Antalya Airport

From AYT the transfer follows the main coastal road east for the whole journey. These are the figures we work with for a private vehicle in normal traffic:

  • Okurcalar: about 93 km, around 99 minutes
  • İncekum: about 95 km, around 103 minutes
  • Avsallar: about 101 km, around 108 minutes
  • Konaklı: about 117 km, around two hours
  • Alanya town: about 125 km, around two hours

In short, plan on roughly an hour and forty minutes for the three western villages and allow a little more on busy summer Saturdays, when many hotels change guests on the same day. Live prices for each trip are in the table on the route pages: Antalya Airport to Okurcalar, Antalya Airport to İncekum and Antalya Airport to Avsallar.

The same villages seen from Gazipaşa

Gazipaşa is the smaller airport and sits on the far side of Alanya. Here are the drive times from GZP:

  • Konaklı: about 54 km, around one hour
  • Türkler: about 61 km, around 65 minutes
  • Avsallar: about 66 km, around 70 minutes
  • İncekum: about 70 km, around 70 minutes
  • Okurcalar: about 73 km, around 75 minutes

Notice that the list runs in reverse. From Gazipaşa, Okurcalar is the furthest of the villages; from Antalya it is the nearest. For a deeper look at the eastern airport itself, read our Gazipaşa to Alanya transfer guide.

An honest comparison: how much do you really save?

Put the two lists next to each other and the pattern is clear. Gazipaşa is shorter for every one of these villages, but for the western end the gap is modest:

  • Okurcalar: just under half an hour quicker from GZP
  • İncekum: a little over half an hour quicker from GZP
  • Avsallar: close to 40 minutes quicker from GZP
  • Konaklı: a full hour quicker from GZP

So the further east your hotel is, the stronger the case for Gazipaşa. For Konaklı it is a real difference; for Okurcalar it is less than half an hour on a holiday that may last a week or two. Bear in mind too that the route on paper is only half the story: check whether a Gazipaşa flight actually fits your dates and travel times. A direct flight into Antalya at a sensible hour often outweighs twenty-five minutes on the road.

Let your flight decide, not the map

In practice the choice usually comes down to which airport your flight serves. Our advice is simple: compare the flight options first, then add the transfer time to each and look at the total door-to-door day. A few points worth weighing:

  • If both airports have flights on your dates, Gazipaşa saves the most time for Avsallar, Türkler and Konaklı.
  • If you are staying in Okurcalar or İncekum, the saving is small, and Antalya is a perfectly reasonable choice.
  • Families with small children may prefer the option with the earlier landing, even if the drive is longer.
  • Open-jaw trips work too: fly into one airport and out of the other if that gives better times.

We serve both airports with the same private service, so you do not have to pick based on transfer availability. For a wider view of the region's airports, see which airport to choose for the Turkish Riviera.

Space for your group and your bags

An hour and a half is long enough that comfort counts. All our vehicles are vans, not cars: a minivan for one to six passengers, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito for up to seven, and a Mercedes Sprinter for groups of eight to sixteen. There is no luggage fee, so suitcases, pushchairs and golf bags simply go in the back. Child seats are free; tell us the children's ages when you book and the right seats will be fitted before pickup. Because the vehicle carries only your group, there are no detours to drop other passengers at other hotels along the way, which on this stretch of coast can otherwise add a lot of time.

From the arrivals hall to your hotel door

Your driver waits in arrivals holding a sign with your name. We track the flight, so if it lands late the driver adjusts and the waiting is free. There is no night surcharge for late arrivals. You pay in the vehicle at the end of the trip, in cash or by card if agreed when booking, and the price you were quoted is fixed per vehicle rather than per person. There is no prepayment and cancellation is free.

To get a quote, send your flight number, hotel and number of passengers on WhatsApp or by e-mail; we reply within about a minute. Coming from Gazipaşa instead? The Gazipaşa to Avsallar route page has its own live prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the transfer from Antalya Airport to Okurcalar?

About 99 minutes for around 93 km. İncekum is a few minutes further, at roughly 103 minutes, and Avsallar around 108 minutes.

Is Gazipaşa Airport closer to Avsallar than Antalya Airport?

Yes. Avsallar is about 66 km and 70 minutes from Gazipaşa, against about 101 km and 108 minutes from Antalya. The saving is real but not huge, so your flight options usually decide it.

Which airport should I use for Konaklı?

If you can, Gazipaşa. Konaklı is about one hour from GZP and around two hours from AYT, the biggest gap of all the western villages.

Will the driver stop at other hotels on the way?

No. The transfer is private, so the vehicle carries only your group and goes straight to your hotel door.

Do I need to pay before I travel?

No. There is no prepayment. You pay the fixed per-vehicle price in the vehicle, and cancellation is free.

Can you take a group of twelve to İncekum?

Yes. A Mercedes Sprinter carries eight to sixteen passengers with their luggage, at no extra luggage charge.

Is the transfer private or shared?

All our transfers are 100% private; the vehicle is dedicated to your group only, with no other passengers.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

The price is per vehicle. One passenger or six pay the same fare in the same vehicle.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight live and adjust the pickup time to the new landing time, free of charge.

Is prepayment required?

No, standard bookings need no prepayment; you can pay the driver at the end of the transfer.
