Side to Antalya City Centre Transfer

Side lies on the coast east of Antalya, close to Manavgat. The transfer to Antalya city centre covers about 77 km and takes around 75 minutes in normal traffic. Your driver heads west on the D400, the main coastal highway, passing the turn-offs for the Belek resorts and the Aksu area before entering the city from the east.

The last part, inside the city, is where time can vary most. Summer evenings and weekday rush hour slow the main avenues, and a hotel in Konyaaltı, on the far western side along the pebble beach, takes longer to reach than one near the centre. For Kaleiçi, the car stops at the nearest point it can access, as the historic lanes are very narrow.

Side and Kaleiçi make a natural pair: one has columns and a temple by the sea, the other a walled harbour and Ottoman houses. Many travellers spend a beach week in Side and then two or three nights in the city before going home, or start in the city and finish by the sea in Side. In both cases, your suitcases and everyone in your party travel together in one private vehicle, with no shared shuttle and no stops at other hotels.

Plan around check-out and check-in times. Rooms are generally ready in the afternoon, so a late-morning pick-up often works well, and most hotels can tell you whether they keep luggage for guests who arrive early.
