Alanya to Lara Transfer

The transfer from Alanya to Lara covers about 136 km and normally takes around 2 hours 5 minutes. You leave the castle town behind and follow the D400 west, with the Taurus mountains inland and the coast never far away: through Manavgat, past the Side and Belek areas and on towards Aksu, before turning off to the beach hotels of Lara on the eastern side of Antalya.

Unlike a trip to the city centre or Konyaaltı, this route does not cross Antalya itself, which keeps it fairly predictable. The main things that slow it down are busy town sections along the D400 and summer weekends, when many holidaymakers change hotels on the same day.

Lara appeals to travellers who want a sandy beach close to the city. A common plan is a first week in Alanya, then a second in Lara, where shopping centres, the old town of Kaleiçi and the rest of Antalya are a short ride away. Some guests are joining friends or family already staying in a Lara hotel; others like spending the last nights near the airport before the flight home.

For a smooth hotel change, check out after breakfast and set off mid-morning; you will reach Lara in the early afternoon, around the time rooms are usually ready. If you arrive before your room is, ask the hotel about a luggage room or early check-in.

Only your group travels in the car – no shuttle, no extra hotel stops – and every suitcase goes with you.
