Lara to Alanya Transfer

The transfer from Lara to Alanya covers about 137 km and usually takes around 125 minutes. Since Lara lies on the eastern edge of Antalya, your driver can join the D400 straight away without crossing the city centre. The highway runs east past Belek, Serik and Side, crosses the river at Manavgat and then follows a narrower strip of coast, with banana plantations and hillsides on one side and the sea on the other, until Alanya's castle peninsula comes into view.

Most of the variation comes from summer traffic around Manavgat and on the way into Alanya, especially in the late afternoon. Starting in the morning usually keeps the drive close to two hours.

Some guests begin with a few days on Lara's sandy beach, close to the city, and then move to Alanya for the rest of their holiday: the harbour, the walls climbing up to the castle and long beaches on both sides of the peninsula. Others are visiting friends or relatives who live in Alanya, staying in a holiday apartment there, or travelling for a business appointment.

In every case the ride is yours alone: no shared shuttle, no stops at other hotels, and all luggage travels with you. On a two-hour drive that means a calmer journey, particularly with children.

Check-out in Lara is usually before midday, and rooms in Alanya are normally ready in the afternoon, so a late-morning departure often lines up nicely. Ask your Alanya hotel about early check-in or a luggage room just in case. A day trip with a return is also possible; just remember the journey is about two hours each way and agree the pick-up time for the way back in advance.
