Alanya to Konyaaltı Transfer

Alanya lies far to the east, its castle rising on a rocky headland above the harbour. Konyaaltı is at the opposite end of Antalya, on the western side of the city where the mountains come down to a long pebble shore. Between them are about 142 km, which usually take around 2 hours 10 minutes.

The drive runs west along the D400 almost the entire way: past the beach towns around Alanya, through Manavgat, by the Side and Belek areas, then on through Aksu and across Antalya to the western seafront. Because the final part goes right through the city, rush hour there, as well as busy summer weekends along the D400, can make the trip noticeably longer. If you need to arrive by a certain time, plan with a generous margin.

The typical traveller on this route has spent a week or two on the beaches of Alanya and wants to finish with something different: a few days in Konyaaltı, with the seafront promenade on the doorstep and the old town of Kaleiçi, the museums and the city's restaurants close by. Some come the other way, starting in the city and ending in Alanya; others travel to see family or friends who live in Antalya.

With more than two hours on the road, a mid-morning departure after check-out often works best, bringing you to Konyaaltı around the time rooms are usually ready in the afternoon. Ask your new hotel whether you can store luggage or check in early in case you arrive sooner.
