Alanya to Antalya City Centre Transfer

Alanya, with its castle on a rocky peninsula, is the easternmost of the big resorts on this coast. The transfer to Antalya city centre is about 137 km and takes roughly 2 hours 5 minutes in normal conditions. The route follows the D400 west the whole way: through the coastal towns and villages around Alanya, past Manavgat and the Side area, then on past the Belek turn-offs and Aksu before reaching the eastern side of the city.

On a stretch this long, traffic matters. Summer weekends, busy town centres along the D400 and the evening rush in Antalya can each add time, and a destination in Konyaaltı on the western edge of the city is the furthest point. We suggest leaving some slack if you have a fixed appointment.

A typical plan is a beach holiday in Alanya followed by a few nights in Antalya to see Kaleiçi, the old harbour and the museums before travelling home. Some do the reverse and start with the city. Others come for a business meeting, a family visit or simply because they want to end the trip somewhere new.

Since the drive takes a good part of the morning, match it to your hotels: check-out is usually in the morning and new rooms are often ready in the afternoon. Ask your Antalya hotel about a luggage room or early check-in. If you are staying in Kaleiçi, where the lanes are narrow, the driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.

The car is yours alone: no shared shuttle, no detours to other hotels and all your suitcases in the same vehicle. For a ride of this length, many couples and families choose the VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito (1–7 passengers) for the extra space; the Minivan (1–6) is a practical everyday choice, and the Mercedes Sprinter takes groups of 8–16. Child seats are free on request.

A day trip from Alanya to Antalya and back is possible, but with more than four hours of driving in total it makes for a long day; agree the pick-up time for the return before you leave.
