West along the D400, about an hour and a half
The transfer from Alanya to Kadriye covers about 110 km and takes roughly 95 minutes. Leaving the castle peninsula behind, the driver follows the D400 west along the coast past the resort villages between Alanya and Manavgat, through Manavgat and on past Serik. Shortly before Antalya the road turns off towards the sea and Kadriye, the western part of Belek and the section closest to the airport.
Most of the way is main road, so the journey is steady. In July and August, town traffic in Alanya and Manavgat is what usually costs time, especially around midday, so an early start is often the most relaxed option.
Two very different bases
Alanya is lively: a historic castle above the town, a busy harbour, beaches right in the centre and plenty going on in the evening. Kadriye is the opposite – spacious resort hotels, golf courses and calm stretches of beach. Many guests start their holiday in one and finish in the other, which also means the last nights are spent much nearer to Antalya Airport.
Hotels normally expect you to check out in the morning, and new rooms are usually ready in the afternoon. Ask your hotel in Kadriye whether early check-in is possible or whether you can store your bags and use the facilities until the room is ready. With a drive of about an hour and a half, a late-morning pick-up in Alanya often works well.
