Antalya Marathon Transfer: Private Car to the Start and Back

The Antalya Marathon (Antalya Maratonu), known in recent years as Runatolia, is an annual international running event in Antalya. Alongside the full marathon there are shorter distances, so beginners, families and experienced runners all take part, together with many runners from abroad.

The race is usually held in early spring, when the weather on the Turkish Riviera is mild and good for running. Dates, distances, start and finish areas and the course can change from year to year, so check the official programme for this year's dates and venues before you book your trip.

Antalya Airport is about 15 km from the city centre, roughly 28 minutes by road. Your driver takes you straight to your hotel, or to the race expo or start area if you arrive on the day.

From the resort areas around Antalya:

• Lara and Kundu: a short drive along the coast road into the city.
• Konyaaltı: on the western side of the city, close to the centre.
• Belek and Side: west along the D400 highway, past the airport.
• Kemer and Beldibi: north along the coastal road through Konyaaltı.

On race day many roads are closed. The driver drops you at the nearest accessible point to the start and plans a route around the closures, so allow extra time.

Race mornings start early. Tell us your start time and we plan the pickup so you arrive relaxed, with time to warm up and drop your bag. Mornings in spring can be cool, so an old top to wear before the start is useful; bring water, energy food and dry clothes for afterwards.

After the race, many runners spend a day or two recovering in the area: a walk through the old town of Kaleiçi, the Düden waterfalls on the Lara coast, or a quiet day by the sea in Konyaaltı or Belek. Tell us your plan and we arrange the rides.
