Antalya Jazz Festival Transfer: Private Car to the Concerts

The Antalya Jazz Festival is a series of jazz concerts in Antalya with Turkish and international musicians. Concerts can take place in several parts of the city – for example in the old town of Kaleiçi or around Konyaaltı – some indoors and some in the open air.

The festival is a good reason to spend an evening in the city if you are staying at a beach resort, and it attracts music lovers from Antalya and further afield. Dates, venues and concerts change from year to year, so check the official programme for this year's dates and venues before you plan your trip.

Antalya Airport is about 15 km from the city centre, roughly 28 minutes by road depending on traffic. Your driver takes you to your hotel or directly to the concert venue.

From the resort areas around Antalya:

• Lara and Kundu: a short drive along the coast road into the city.
• Konyaaltı: on the western side of the city, close to the centre.
• Belek and Side: west along the D400 highway, past the airport.
• Kemer and Beldibi: north along the coastal road through Konyaaltı.

Kaleiçi's narrow lanes are largely closed to cars, so the driver drops you at the nearest accessible point – often one of the old town gates – and picks you up there after the concert.

Most concerts take place in the evening. In summer the evenings are warm; in spring and autumn a light jacket is useful for open-air venues. Arrive a little early, as streets in the centre get busy in the evening.

Before the concert you can walk through Kaleiçi, past the Roman Hadrian's Gate and the clock tower, and look down on the old harbour from the cliffs. Dinner in the old town or by the sea in Konyaaltı makes a full evening of it.
