Antalya Airport to Olympos & Çıralı Transfer: Road Guide

Çıralı, Olympos and Adrasan sit at the quiet south-western end of the Kemer coast, a little under two hours from Antalya Airport. Most of the drive is an easy coastal main road; only the last stretch turns off and winds down to the sea on a narrower road, which is exactly where a driver who knows the turn-offs earns his keep.

Three villages at the end of the Kemer coast

Think of the coast south-west of Antalya as a long chain. The big resort towns, Kemer above all, sit in the first half. Past Tekirova the mountains press closer to the sea, the hotel blocks stop, and the shore breaks into small bays reached by side roads. Çıralı, Olympos and Adrasan are three of those bays.

Çıralı and Olympos are neighbours, separated only by a beach and a river mouth, so from the sand you can walk from one to the other. Adrasan lies further south, in its own bay. All three are low-key places: no high-rise strip, no busy promenade, just a beach, a valley and a scattering of small places to stay. That calm is the reason people come, and it is also why public transport out here is thin and a booked car makes life simpler.

The drive, stage by stage

From Antalya Airport (AYT) the car first heads west around the city and then turns south onto the Kemer coast road. The places you pass are worth knowing, because they help you judge how far along you are:

  • Beldibi and Göynük: the first resort villages, where the road squeezes between cliffs and sea.
  • Kemer: about 58 km and 70 minutes from the airport, so by the time you pass it, most of the journey time is behind you.
  • Kiriş and Çamyuva: quieter stretches of pine and beach just after Kemer.
  • Tekirova: about 75 km and 85 minutes out, the last large resort before the road changes character.

After Tekirova the main road climbs inland through forest. This is the point where Çıralı and Olympos are close in a straight line but still a winding descent away.

The final descent to the sea

The turn-offs for Çıralı and Olympos leave the main road and drop down towards the coast on narrower roads with bends. It is a normal, paved route that drivers here use every day, but it is slower than the highway, and the last few kilometres account for a good share of the total journey time. That is why Çıralı, at about 85 km, takes around 100 minutes, while Tekirova, only a little closer, takes about 85.

Adrasan has its own road further south, which explains why it is about 105 km away yet only slightly longer in time, around 108 minutes. If you feel carsick on mountain roads, sit at the front and say so when booking; the driver takes the bends calmly anyway.

Arriving after dark is no problem. Our drivers know where the road splits for each village and where the lanes inside Çıralı lead, so you are not peering at a phone map at midnight.

Which village are you actually going to?

Because Çıralı and Olympos sit side by side, guests sometimes book one when their accommodation is really in the other. They are reached by different side roads, so the address matters. Check your booking confirmation and send us the exact name and village; we then route the car to the correct valley.

  • Çıralı: a long beach backed by a flat valley. The beach is a loggerhead turtle nesting site, and the Chimaera (Yanartaş) flames burn on the hillside nearby. Route page: Antalya Airport to Çıralı.
  • Olympos: the valley with the ruins of ancient Olympos running down to the shore. Route page: Antalya Airport to Olympos.
  • Adrasan: a separate, sheltered bay further south. Route page: Antalya Airport to Adrasan.

For what to see once you are there, our Olympos and Çıralı guide covers the beach, the ruins and the flames.

Choosing a vehicle for a long, quiet transfer

Every transfer is private: the car carries only your group and goes straight to your door without collecting anyone else. There are three sizes:

  • Minivan for 1 to 6 passengers, the usual pick for couples and families.
  • VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito for 1 to 7 passengers, if you want more legroom for the climb past Tekirova.
  • Mercedes Sprinter for 8 to 16, handy for walking groups or friends sharing a house.

Hikers often carry big rucksacks and walking poles; there is no luggage fee, so bring what you need. Child seats are free on request, just tell us the children's ages. See the fleet page for photos of each vehicle.

What happens when you land

The driver tracks your flight and waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. If the plane is late, the waiting is free; you do not need to message anyone from the baggage belt. The fare is fixed per vehicle before you travel and does not rise at night, so a late landing costs the same as a lunchtime one.

There is no prepayment. You pay in the vehicle, in cash or by card if agreed when booking, and cancellation is free. Our company holds a D2 transfer permit from the Ministry of Transport and carries passenger seat insurance.

Heading back to Antalya Airport

Plan the return around the full two-hour drive plus the time you want at the terminal. Most travellers aim to be at AYT two to three hours before an international flight, which means leaving Çıralı or Olympos well ahead of what the clock on your ticket suggests. From Adrasan, allow a little more. Our article on when to leave your hotel walks through the timing.

Some guests split the stay, spending a few nights here and a few in a livelier resort. If that is you, the Kemer villages guide compares the places along the same road, and a hotel-to-hotel transfer can link them.
