The drive from Tekirova to the old town
Tekirova lies at the southern end of the Kemer coast, where pine-covered slopes of the Taurus mountains run straight down to the sea. From here to Kaleiçi, Antalya's walled old town, it is about 59 km, and the drive usually takes around an hour. The route follows the D400 coastal road north past Kemer, Göynük and Beldibi, then enters the city on the Konyaaltı side before reaching the centre.
The time can vary. Summer weekends, the evening rush hour in Antalya and occasional roadworks add minutes, while early mornings are usually quicker. If you have something fixed in the old town, such as a dinner reservation or a business meeting, tell us and we will suggest a pick-up time with a comfortable margin.
A day in Kaleiçi or a few nights in the city
Many guests staying in Tekirova want at least one day in Kaleiçi: the old harbour, the lanes of Ottoman-era houses, the small shops and cafés. You can book the ride there and a return with an agreed pick-up time back to your hotel in one go, so the evening is planned before you leave.
Others finish their beach holiday with a few nights in the city. In that case all your luggage travels with you in the same vehicle. Hotel and guesthouse rooms are usually ready in the afternoon, so if you arrive earlier, ask your accommodation about a luggage room or early check-in.
Kaleiçi's streets are narrow and partly closed to traffic. The driver will stop at the nearest accessible point to your guesthouse or meeting place and help you with your bags from there.
