A half-day journey west
The transfer from Antalya city centre to Fethiye is about 196 km and usually takes around 3 hours 15 minutes. The quickest way leaves the coast and crosses the Taurus mountains inland before coming down to the Fethiye bay; the coastal road past Kemer, Kaş and Kalkan is far longer. Your driver knows both and takes the most sensible route on the day.
Leaving from Konyaaltı, on the western side of the city, saves a few minutes; a destination such as Ölüdeniz or Çalış adds a short final stretch. Weather in the mountains, summer traffic and road works can all change the timing, so treat the figure as a guide.
Two holidays in one trip
Many travellers combine a few nights in Antalya – the old town, the harbour and the museums – with a week around Fethiye for its bays, boat trips and the famous lagoon at Ölüdeniz. Others are on a longer tour of the Turkish coast and are simply moving on to the next stop.
Because the drive takes most of a morning or afternoon, plan it around your hotels. Check-out is usually in the morning and new rooms are often ready in the afternoon, so a late-morning departure from Antalya often fits well. Ask your Fethiye hotel about a luggage room or early check-in if you arrive sooner.
Comfortable on a long drive
The vehicle is yours alone, with no other passengers and no detours. For three hours on the road, many couples and families prefer the VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito (1–7 passengers) for its space. The Minivan (1–6) is a practical choice, and the Mercedes Sprinter carries groups of 8–16. Free child seats are available on request; tell us the children's ages.
A day trip from Antalya to Fethiye and back means well over six hours in the car, so it only makes sense if you really want it; we can arrange it with an agreed time for the return. If you would like a stop on the way, mention it when you book.
