Alaçatı is a former Greek village on the Çeşme peninsula that has become one of the most stylish places on the Aegean coast. Its heart is a quarter of stone houses with painted wooden shutters, set along narrow lanes full of cafés, restaurants, small boutiques and design shops. On the hill above the village, a row of old windmills is the classic photo stop.

Just south of the village, a wide bay with shallow water and strong, steady winds has made Alaçatı one of the best-known windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in the Mediterranean region. The distance is roughly 78 km and the transfer usually takes about 65 minutes. From the airport south of İzmir, the route follows the ring road and then the motorway west along the peninsula. Your driver leaves the motorway at the Alaçatı exit, a short way before Çeşme, and continues on local roads to the village.

On arrival:

• We track your flight, so the driver knows if you land early or late.
• Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign.
• He helps with your luggage, including surf equipment if you tell us in advance.
• The ride is private: only your group, straight to your accommodation.

Parts of the old stone-house quarter are narrow or closed to cars, especially on summer evenings. In that case the driver stops at the nearest accessible point and helps you carry your bags to the door.

Many visitors choose a boutique hotel in a restored stone house in the old quarter, within walking distance of the restaurants and evening life. Others prefer the quieter streets around the edges of the village, where holiday homes and villas with gardens are common. Windsurfers often look for places closer to the surf bay, so they can be on the water early.

Wherever you stay, send us the hotel name or exact address, ideally with a location pin, when you book. Village addresses can be hard to find, and a pin helps the driver bring you to the right door without delay.

In Alaçatı itself, the days revolve around the bay for wind sports and the village lanes for food and strolling. With a private car and driver, you can easily add:

For an international flight, plan to be at the airport about 2 to 3 hours before departure, and check your airline's advice. The drive takes around 65 minutes, and we add a margin for summer traffic on the motorway. For a 15:00 flight, for example, a pick-up at around 11:00 from Alaçatı is a comfortable choice.
