Kabak Bay at a glance
Kabak lies at the bottom of a steep green valley that opens onto the sea, a few kilometres south of the famous Butterfly Valley. The bay is enclosed by forested slopes and cliffs, and the beach of sand and pebbles faces the open Mediterranean, so the water is clear and the waves can be livelier than in the sheltered bays around Ölüdeniz.
There are no big hotels here. Instead the valley is dotted with small campsites, bungalows and wooden lodges, several of them known for yoga and a quiet, nature-focused stay. The Lycian Way, the long-distance hiking trail along this coast, passes through Faralya and Kabak, so you will often meet walkers with backpacks. The atmosphere is simple and slow, which is exactly why people come.

Getting to Kabak from Dalaman Airport and nearby resorts
From Dalaman Airport (DLM) the drive is about 79 km and takes roughly 95 minutes. The route follows the D400 towards Fethiye, climbs to Ovacık and Hisarönü and then continues past Ölüdeniz on the narrow mountain road through Faralya, with wide views over the sea.
- From Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü: roughly 35–45 minutes on the winding coastal road.
- From Fethiye town: about an hour.
- From Çalış Beach: a little over an hour, through Fethiye.
The last stretch down to the beach is a steep track or footpath through the valley. Your driver drops you at the nearest accessible point on the road above; many camps and lodges arrange their own way down for guests, so check with your accommodation. For a group in a Sprinter, we confirm the drop-off point when booking.
Planning a visit or a stay in Kabak
In summer, set off early: the drive is cooler, the walk down is easier before the midday heat, and the beach is at its quietest. If you come for the day, leave enough time for the climb back up in the late afternoon. Bring water, sun protection, good shoes for the path and a small backpack rather than a rolling suitcase.
Kabak combines well with Faralya, whose viewpoints look straight down into Butterfly Valley, and with a swim in Ölüdeniz on the way back. Walkers often use the Lycian Way to explore the next sections of the coast.
Private car with driver for the day
If you want a day trip to Kabak with stops at the Faralya viewpoints or Ölüdeniz, tell us your plan and we tell you what is possible. You agree the pick-up time back when booking, so your driver is waiting at the top when you come up from the beach. The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, with no night surcharge and no luggage fee.
Couples and small families travel in a minivan of the VW Caravelle class (1–6 people) or a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito with leather seats (1–7). Groups of 8–16, such as yoga retreats or hiking parties, travel together in a Mercedes Sprinter. Child seats are free on request.
From the airport to your camp or lodge in Kabak and back
Many guests stay several nights in Kabak, and a private transfer is the easiest way to get there with luggage. Your driver meets you at Dalaman Airport with a name sign; we track your flight, and waiting is free if it is delayed. You drive straight to Kabak, without shared stops.
On the return day we collect you from the agreed point on the road. Allow for the long mountain drive, and for an international flight plan to be at the airport 2–3 hours before departure and check your airline's advice. Book 24/7 via WhatsApp or the booking form and get a fixed-price quote within 1 minute. No prepayment, free cancellation, payment in the vehicle.
