The drive covers about 79 km and usually takes around 95 minutes, a little longer on busy summer evenings. From the airport the road heads east past Göcek, where the Göcek tunnel speeds things up, and on to Fethiye. From there you climb through Hisarönü and Ovacık, pass above Ölüdeniz and continue along the cliffs towards Faralya.

Because the way back to Dalaman Airport is long and winding, it is worth booking the return when you book your arrival. As a rule, plan to reach the airport about two to three hours before an international departure and add the drive of roughly 95 minutes, plus a buffer in high summer. In practice that means leaving Faralya four to four and a half hours before take-off.
