Bardakçı Bay at a glance
Bardakçı lies on the western edge of Bodrum, between the town and Gümbet, in a cove protected from the open sea. The water is usually calm, and the narrow beach is shared by hotels and beach clubs with sunbeds and terraces. From here you look across the bay towards Bodrum's waterfront and the Castle of St Peter.
Because the bay is so close to the centre, it is a favourite for people staying in Bodrum town who want a swim without a long drive. The atmosphere is relaxed during the day and becomes livelier in the evening, when the restaurants of the marina and the town are only a few minutes away.

Getting to Bardakçı Bay
From Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) the bay is about 50 km away, roughly 70 minutes by road. The route follows the Milas–Bodrum road across the peninsula into Bodrum and then runs along the western side of the town towards the bay.
From Bodrum centre, Gümbet and Bitez the bay is a short drive; from Ortakent, Turgutreis, Gümüşlük, Yalıkavak or Torba it takes a little longer. The streets leading down to the bay are narrow and parking is limited, so your driver drops you at the nearest accessible point or at your hotel entrance and picks you up there at the agreed time.
Planning your beach day
Mornings are the quietest time, with calm water and space on the sunbeds; late afternoon is pleasant too, as the heat softens before an evening in town. Bring sun cream, a hat and water, and expect most sunbeds to belong to the beach clubs.
Bardakçı combines easily with Bodrum town: the Castle of St Peter, the marina, the ancient theatre of Halicarnassus and the windmills on the hill above Gümbet are all close. Many visitors swim in the day, then stay for dinner by the marina.
Private car with driver for the day
Tell us your plan, we tell you what is possible. Combine Bardakçı with a stroll through Bodrum, a second bay further around the peninsula or a sunset in Gümüşlük, and agree the pick-up time back when you book.
- Minivan (VW Caravelle class) for 1–6 passengers
- VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito with leather seats for 1–7 passengers
- Mercedes Sprinter for groups of 8–16
The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, and child seats are free on request, so families and friends travel together in one car.
From the airport to your hotel and back
If you are staying at Bardakçı or in Bodrum town, we meet you in the arrivals hall at Milas-Bodrum Airport with a name sign and drive you straight to your hotel. We track your flight and wait free of charge if it is delayed; there is no night surcharge and no luggage fee.
On your return day, plan to be at the airport 2–3 hours before an international flight; check your airline's advice. Summer evenings in Bodrum can be busy, so we agree a pick-up time with a comfortable margin.
