Bardakçı Bay Transfer from Bodrum Airport

Bardakçı is a small bay just west of Bodrum town, tucked between the town and the next headland. It has a short beach with calm, clear water and a few hotels, guesthouses and holiday homes on the slopes around it. The centre of Bodrum, with the marina and the castle, is within walking distance, yet the bay itself feels noticeably calmer than the busy town streets.

Bardakçı suits guests who want to swim in a quiet cove in the morning and walk into Bodrum for dinner in the evening: couples, families with older children and anyone who prefers not to depend on a car during the stay. Being so close to town also makes it practical for short breaks.

The transfer is about 38 km and usually takes around 44 minutes. From the airport the car follows the main road onto the peninsula, passes the bay of Güvercinlik, crosses the hills and comes down towards Bodrum. It then skirts the edge of town and turns off to the bay. On summer evenings traffic around Bodrum can be slow, so the last stretch sometimes takes a little longer.

After baggage claim, your driver is waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name and helps you with your luggage. We track your flight, so if you land early or late the pick-up moves with it and waiting on delays is free. A night arrival costs the same as a daytime one, and there is no luggage fee for extra suitcases or a pushchair.

The bay is compact, but the lanes around it climb quickly, so please send us your exact address:

• Towards the town – places on the side nearest Bodrum, a short walk from the centre.

Your driver takes you to the entrance of your accommodation. Some lanes here are steep and narrow; where a vehicle cannot pass, the car stops at the nearest accessible point, usually only a few steps away, and the driver helps with the bags.

From Bardakçı much of Bodrum is on foot, and the rest of the peninsula is an easy drive:

• Bodrum Castle – the Castle of St Peter overlooking the harbour.
• The marina and old town – whitewashed streets, shops and seafront restaurants.
• The Mausoleum site and ancient theatre – remains of ancient Halicarnassus.
• Gümbet and Bitez – neighbouring bays with long beaches.
• Boat trips – day cruises from Bodrum harbour to coves and islands.

The return takes around 44 minutes. Plan to be at the airport about 2–3 hours before an international flight — check your airline's advice. For a 15:00 departure, for example, a pick-up at Bardakçı at around 11:15 is a sensible time; on busy summer days we may suggest leaving a little earlier.
