A long drive along the coast
The transfer from Side to Kaş covers about 259 km and usually takes around 4 hours. The first part runs west on the D400, past Belek and around Antalya. Then the road follows the coast south-west, past Kemer with the Taurus mountains on one side and the sea on the other, and on through Kumluca, Finike and Demre before it reaches Kaş.
The western half is a winding coastal road with wide sea views, which is why the journey takes longer than the distance suggests. Summer traffic around Antalya and Kemer can add time, so it is worth starting in the morning. Plan the day around the drive and you will arrive in Kaş in good time for an evening by the harbour.
