Why finish your trip in Tekirova
Kaş is perfect for exploring, but its rocky shore and hilly streets mean a lot of walking. Tekirova, at the southern end of the Kemer coast, is the opposite: wide resort grounds, pebble and sand beaches backed by pine forest, and the Taurus mountains rising straight behind. The ancient harbour city of Phaselis lies just next door if you still want some history.
There is a practical side too. Tekirova is much closer to Antalya than Kaş, so the last part of your holiday is spent within easier reach of the airport, which makes the departure day far less rushed.
The road east, about two hours
The transfer from Kaş to Tekirova covers about 128 km and normally takes around 2 hours. The driver leaves Kaş on the winding coastal road towards Demre, continues via Finike and Kumluca, and then reaches Tekirova at the southern tip of the Kemer coast. The first section is the most scenic, with the sea below and steep slopes above, and it is driven calmly rather than quickly.
Summer traffic in the towns along the way can add some time, especially in the middle of the day. If your accommodation in Kaş is in a narrow lane, the driver will meet you at the nearest point the vehicle can reach.
Plan the hotel change
Guesthouses and small hotels in Kaş usually ask you to leave in the morning, while resort rooms in Tekirova are normally ready in the afternoon.
