Kalkan to Kundu Transfer

Kalkan to Kundu is about 234 km, and the drive normally takes around 3 hours 50 minutes. You start at the western edge of the region: the road first runs along the cliffs to Kaş, then continues east through Demre, Finike and Kumluca. From there it crosses the hills to the Kemer coast, passes Tekirova and Kemer below the Taurus peaks, goes through Antalya and ends on the sandy shore of Kundu, the eastern part of Lara.

Timings depend on the day: an early start usually means a smoother run, while summer afternoons can bring slower traffic near Kemer and in the city.

Kalkan is known for its whitewashed old town and holiday villas with sea views; Kundu for wide sandy beaches and big resort hotels. Plenty of families combine the two – a quiet week of private pools and harbour dinners, then a week where the children can play on the sand all day. Others choose Kundu for the last nights simply because it is close to the airport.

Villa rentals and hotels often expect you to leave in the morning, while new rooms are usually ready in the afternoon. With a journey of almost four hours, a morning pick-up in Kalkan tends to work out nicely. If you think you will arrive before your room is ready, ask the hotel in Kundu whether you can leave your bags or check in early.

On a trip of this length the vehicle matters. A Minivan is fine for up to 6 passengers, while the VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito (up to 7) gives more legroom and a quieter ride. Larger families or groups travelling together take the Mercedes Sprinter for 8–16 people. The car is yours alone – there is no shared shuttle and no other hotel to call at.
