The route follows the coast road west from Dalaman, past the yacht bays of Göcek, and on towards Fethiye, the harbour town known for its Lycian rock tombs. Before the town centre the road turns uphill to Ovacık, the village on the road above Ölüdeniz, and Hisarönü is just beyond it. Expect about 64 km and around 65 minutes; the last part climbs gently, so allow a little extra in heavy summer traffic.

Hisarönü is also the base for trips down to the Blue Lagoon at Ölüdeniz and for paragliding from Babadağ, so many groups stay here for an active holiday.
