Çalış Beach at a glance
Çalış lies a few kilometres north of Fethiye town centre, on the open side of Fethiye Bay. The beach runs for several kilometres in front of a flat, easy promenade lined with cafés, restaurants, small hotels and apartments. The shore is a mix of pebbles and coarse sand, and the sea is generally gentle in the morning, while an afternoon breeze often picks up, which makes the bay popular with windsurfers.
Çalış is best known for its evenings: the sun sets behind the islands and hills at the mouth of the bay, and people gather along the seafront to watch it. Compared with Ölüdeniz it feels calmer and more residential, and many visitors return here year after year for long stays.

Getting to Çalış from Dalaman Airport and nearby resorts
From Dalaman Airport (DLM) Çalış Beach is about 49 km away, roughly 50 minutes by road in normal traffic. The route follows the main D400 road east past Göcek towards Fethiye and then turns off to the Çalış seafront before you reach the town centre.
- From Fethiye town centre: a short drive of a few kilometres.
- From Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü: around half an hour, through Fethiye.
- From Göcek: a little over half an hour along the D400.
- From Dalyan or Sarıgerme: a longer drive back past Dalaman; ask us for the time.
Most hotels in Çalış are on or just behind the seafront, and your driver drops you at the hotel door or at the nearest accessible point to the beach.
Planning a day or evening in Çalış
In summer the beach is most comfortable early in the morning, before the heat and the breeze build. Late afternoon is the classic time to come: have a swim, walk along the promenade and stay for the sunset and dinner by the sea. Bring sun protection, water and water shoes for the pebbles.
Çalış combines easily with Fethiye itself: the harbour and marina, the old bazaar of Paspatur and the Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliff above the town. Kayaköy, the abandoned stone village in the hills between Fethiye and Ölüdeniz, is another popular stop on the same day.
Private car with driver for the day
If you want to see Fethiye, Kayaköy and Çalış in one day, tell us your plan and we tell you what is possible. You agree the pick-up time back when booking, so your driver is ready when you are. The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, with no night surcharge and no luggage fee, so a late return after a sunset dinner costs the same.
Couples and families travel in a minivan of the VW Caravelle class (1–6 people) or a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito with leather seats (1–7). Larger groups of 8–16 travel together in a Mercedes Sprinter, ideal for family reunions or friends sharing a villa. Child seats are free; just tell us the children's ages.
From the airport to your hotel in Çalış and back

On the return day we collect you from your accommodation in good time. For an international flight, plan to be at the airport 2–3 hours before departure and check your airline's advice.
