The tour at a glance
Antalya Aquarium stands near Konyaaltı Beach on the western side of the city and is one of the best-known family attractions on the Turkish Riviera. Its highlight is a long walk-through tunnel: you walk beneath the water while sharks, rays, turtles and shoals of fish glide over and around you.
Before the tunnel, a series of themed tanks presents marine and freshwater life from different parts of the world, from Mediterranean species to colourful tropical reef fish. A shipwreck scene and large open tanks make good backdrops for photos. The aquarium building also houses other attractions, such as a wax museum with figures of famous people, which you can add as an option.
This is an easy, mostly indoor day, which makes it a good choice for families with children, grandparents, rainy or very hot days and anyone who wants a break from the beach. The visit is done at your own pace; we handle the getting there and back.
Booking
How the day runs
The whole outing is planned for about 6 hours including transfers, leaving enough time for a relaxed visit. A typical flow:
- Pickup from your hotel at the agreed time and the drive to Konyaaltı.
- Entry to the aquarium and a self-paced walk through the themed tanks and the tunnel.
- Optional visit to the wax museum or other attractions in the same complex, if chosen when booking.
- Free time for a snack, the souvenir shop or a short walk to Konyaaltı Beach nearby.
- Meeting the driver at the agreed time and the drive back to your hotel.
Visit times can be planned around your day, for example after lunch at the hotel; just tell us when booking.
Good to know
- Wear comfortable shoes: the route inside is on flat floors but involves a fair amount of walking.
- The halls are air-conditioned; a light layer is pleasant after the summer heat outside.
- Flash photography can disturb the animals; switch the flash off in the tunnel and at the tanks.
- Strollers are generally manageable on the indoor routes, and the visit suits older travellers well; there are places to sit along the way.
- Weekends and rainy days can be busier; a morning visit is usually calmer.
- Have some cash or a card for snacks, souvenirs and photos.
What is included (entrance tickets, meals, equipment) is confirmed when you book.
