Lara to Fethiye Transfer

Count on about 211 km and around 3 hours 35 minutes from Lara to Fethiye. Lara is on the eastern side of Antalya, near the airport, so the trip begins by crossing the city westwards. After that, the usual route climbs inland over the Taurus mountains, with highland plateaus and long open stretches, before descending to the coast at Fethiye.

The city crossing at the start is the least predictable part, so a morning departure is usually the most relaxed choice. Lara is ideal for the first days of a trip: wide sand, big hotels and Antalya's old town of Kaleiçi a short drive away. Fethiye offers something else – a working harbour, boat tours to the islands of the bay, the lagoon of Ölüdeniz and walking on the Lycian Way. Many visitors book a week in each place, in either order.

Plan the move around hotel times. Check-out in Lara is typically in the morning, and rooms in Fethiye are usually ready in the afternoon, so leaving after breakfast fits nicely. Ask the hotel in Fethiye whether you can leave your bags or check in early if you get there sooner.
