Izmir Airport to Selçuk (Ephesus) Transfer

The distance is about 55 km and the drive normally takes around 50 minutes. You head south from the airport on the motorway through the farmland and olive groves of the Küçük Menderes valley, then leave it for the short approach into Selçuk. It is one of the more straightforward airport runs on the Aegean coast.

What changes the timing? Mostly roadworks, the occasional slow lorry and busy summer weekends near the motorway exits. Inside Selçuk the streets are small, and many places to stay are family-run guesthouses on quiet lanes rather than large resorts. Share the exact address or a map pin when you book, and the driver will bring you as close to the door as the street allows — whether you stay in the centre, near the Ephesus side of town, in the hill village of Şirince or by Pamucak beach.

Once you have your bags, step into the arrivals hall: your driver is there holding a sign with your name. No ticket machines, no bus timetable, no waiting for other passengers — the car leaves when you are ready and goes only to your address.

Plan to reach the terminal about 2–3 hours before an international departure and check what your airline recommends. A typical example: flight at 13:00, pickup in Selçuk at about 9:30, which leaves the 50-minute drive plus a comfortable buffer. If you want to see Ephesus on your last morning, it is usually wiser to visit the day before so the transfer is not rushed.
