Dalaman Airport to Ortaca Transfer

The transfer covers about 17 km and usually takes around 20 minutes. From the airport you join the main D400 road heading west, cross the flat, fertile Dalaman plain with its fields and greenhouses, and reach Ortaca, the district centre between Dalaman and Dalyan.

Ortaca is a working Turkish town rather than a beach resort, which makes it a practical base: Dalyan with its river, Lycian rock tombs and Iztuzu beach is close by, and the long sandy beach at Sarıgerme is within easy reach too. Travel time can stretch a little on summer weekends or at busy times in town, but on this short route delays are rarely significant. After passport control and baggage reclaim at Dalaman Airport, walk into the arrivals hall: your driver is waiting there with a sign showing your name.

For your trip back, allow about 20 minutes of driving and aim to reach Dalaman Airport roughly 2–3 hours before an international flight, as most airlines advise. In practice, leaving Ortaca about 3 hours before departure is comfortable in summer.
