Kargıcak is a hillside district on the coast east of Alanya, the next area along after Mahmutlar. Here the mountains come close to the sea, so most of Kargıcak climbs up the slopes above the coastal road, with terraces of villas and residence complexes looking out over the water. Between them you still see banana greenhouses and gardens, a reminder of the area's farming past.

The big attraction is the view: from many of Kargıcak's streets you look straight along the coast to the Alanya castle peninsula. It is quieter and more spread out than Mahmutlar, which suits couples, families and homeowners who want calm surroundings and space, while the shops, markets and promenade of Mahmutlar are just a few minutes' drive away. Small beaches and swimming spots lie along the shore below the main road.

The transfer is about 145 km and normally takes around 140 minutes. Your driver heads east on the D400 coastal highway past Serik and Manavgat, follows the resort coast towards Alanya, drives through Alanya and on past Tosmur, Kestel and Mahmutlar, and then turns off the coastal road to climb up to your address in Kargıcak. Alanya's town traffic is already included in the estimate.

After baggage reclaim, your driver is waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name. We follow your flight, so whether you land early or late, the pick-up moves with it and waiting on delays is free. A night landing costs the same as a daytime one, and there is no charge for extra luggage. You travel in a private vehicle, just your group, all the way to your door.

Accommodation in Kargıcak is mostly private: villas, holiday homes and residence complexes with pools spread across the hillside, plus a few hotels nearer the coastal road. Some properties sit high above the sea on narrow, winding lanes that can be hard to find for someone who does not know the area.

For that reason, please send us the full address or a map location when you book, along with the name of your complex if it has one. Our minivans and Vitos are well suited to the hill roads, and the driver takes you right to the gate or entrance and helps with your luggage. • Sapadere Canyon – a cool gorge in the mountains inland, with walkways along the stream.
• Iotape – the ruins of an ancient coastal city further east towards Gazipaşa, set beside a small bay.
• Alanya Castle – the fortress on the peninsula you can see from Kargıcak's hills.
• Dim River and Dim Cave – riverside restaurants and a large dripstone cave inland from Tosmur.
• Mahmutlar promenade – a long seafront walk with cafés, just down the road.

Kargıcak is well over two hours from the airport, so plan the return carefully. Aim to be at Antalya Airport about 2.5–3 hours before an international flight — check your airline's advice. For a 19:00 flight, a pick-up at around 13:30 is a good choice. We confirm the time with you the day before.
