Gündoğdu Transfer from Antalya Airport

Gündoğdu is a coastal neighbourhood of the Manavgat district, on the western side of Side. It sits right next to Kumköy and Evrenseki, and many people simply speak of the whole stretch as Çolaklı / Gündoğdu / Evrenseki. If your booking says one of these names, you are heading for the same part of the coast.

Compared with the old centre of Side, this is a newer resort area. What draws people here are the wide sandy beaches and the space that comes with a resort strip built more recently. Most guests are families and couples on a beach holiday who want the sea in front of them and Side's sights a short drive away. One detail is worth knowing before you arrive: not every hotel is on the sand. Some hotels lie 500–800 m from the beach, so check where yours is when you plan your days.

The transfer covers about 63 km and takes around 73 minutes, depending on traffic. The route follows the main coastal road east from the airport, past the Belek side and on towards Manavgat. Shortly before Side the driver turns off towards the coast and your hotel.

Because it is a private car, nobody else gets in and there are no detours to other hotels. You go from the terminal to your own hotel door.

Wherever you stay, the driver takes you to the hotel entrance. A few practical tips:

• Send us the exact hotel name when you book. Several resorts in Çolaklı, Kumköy and Evrenseki have similar names, and the exact name avoids any mix-up.
• Staying in a private apartment or villa? Send the address or a location pin on WhatsApp.
• Travelling with a lot of luggage, golf bags or a pushchair? Tell us in advance and we send a vehicle with enough room.

Gündoğdu is a good base for exploring the Side area by private car:

• Side old town, with its ancient theatre, the Temple of Apollo by the sea and a harbour lined with restaurants.
• Manavgat, with the Manavgat Waterfall and boat trips on the Manavgat River.
• Aspendos, the famous Roman theatre, a short drive back towards Antalya.
• Antalya city for a day in Kaleiçi, the old town, or for shopping.

For the return, aim to be at Antalya Airport about 2.5 to 3 hours before an international flight (check your airline's advice). With a flight at 15:00, for example, a pick-up in Gündoğdu around 10:45 to 11:00 works well. The driver collects you at the hotel entrance. You can book both directions in one message.
