Gazipaşa is a small district town on the coast east of Alanya, the last stretch of the Antalya province before the road continues towards Mersin. Unlike the resort towns further west, it is first of all a working farming town: banana plantations and greenhouses cover the plain around it, and the rhythm of daily life follows the harvests and the weekly market more than the tourist season.

For visitors, Gazipaşa offers long, uncrowded beaches, a relaxed town centre and a good dose of history. On the coast beside the town lie the ruins of ancient Selinus, the city where the Roman emperor Trajan died, and further west along the shore are the remains of Iotape. It suits travellers who want a quiet, authentic place by the sea, families visiting relatives, and homeowners who spend long periods on this part of the coast.

This is one of the longest transfers on the Antalya coast: about 178 km, normally around 170 minutes. Your driver takes the D400 coastal highway east past Serik, Manavgat and the resorts west of Alanya, crosses Alanya, and then follows the shore past Mahmutlar, Kargıcak and Demirtaş before reaching Gazipaşa. East of Alanya the road runs between the mountains and the sea, with long stretches of open coastal views.

Look for your driver in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name. We follow your flight, so an early or late landing simply moves the pick-up, and waiting on delays is free. A night arrival costs the same as a daytime one, and there is no charge for extra luggage. It is a private vehicle for your group only, taking you directly to your address in Gazipaşa.

Gazipaşa has no large resort strip. Visitors stay in small hotels and guesthouses, apartments in and around the town centre, and holiday homes or villas among the plantations and along the coast. Many travellers here are also visiting family or staying in their own property.

Because addresses outside the town centre can be hard to find, please send us the full address or a map location when you book. Your driver brings you right to the door and helps with your luggage. With almost three hours on the road, the return needs a generous time plan. Aim to be at Antalya Airport about 2.5–3 hours before an international flight — check your airline's advice. For a 21:00 flight, a pick-up in Gazipaşa at around 15:00 is a sensible choice. We confirm the time with you the day before.
