The drive usually takes close to 3 hours (around 170 minutes, or 2 hours 50 minutes) on the D400 coastal road through Alanya, Manavgat and Serik. Traffic in the towns along the way, especially in summer, makes generous planning essential.
Airlines generally ask passengers to be at the airport 2–3 hours before an international flight – please check your own airline's advice. A worked example:
- Flight at 16:00 → be at the airport around 13:30
- Drive of about 2 h 50 min → leave Gazipaşa around 10:40
- Buffer for summer traffic → pickup at about 10:00
