Antalya Sports Team Camp Transfer: A Guide for Team Managers

Moving a squad is not the same as moving a family. Twenty or thirty people, staff, kit bags and equipment all need to leave the airport together and arrive at the same hotel. This guide is written for team managers and club officials planning a training camp in the Antalya region, from vehicle combinations to trips during the camp.

Why so many teams train around Antalya

The coast east of Antalya, and Belek in particular, is a well-known training-camp area: many of its hotels have their own pitches, so a squad can sleep, eat and train in one place. Many camps take place in the cooler months, outside the main beach season, so it is worth booking transfers as soon as your camp dates and flights are fixed.

Whatever your sport, the logistics problem on arrival is the same. Players, coaches, physios and kit managers come off one flight with far more baggage than ordinary holidaymakers, and everyone needs to reach the hotel together so the first session can start on time.

Journey times from Antalya Airport (AYT)

The main camp areas along this coast are all reachable in a single, direct drive from the terminal. Typical private transfer times:

  • Lara: about 14 km, around 20 minutes
  • Belek: about 33 km, around 40 minutes
  • Kemer: about 58 km, around 70 minutes
  • Side: about 65 km, around 75 minutes

For Belek camps the live price table is on the Antalya Airport to Belek route page, and the Belek transfer page describes the area. Squads based further east can check the Side route page.

Building the fleet for your squad

We have three vehicle types and no saloon cars:

  • Minivan: 1 to 6 passengers
  • VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito: 1 to 7 passengers
  • Mercedes Sprinter: 8 to 16 passengers

Up to sixteen people fit in one Sprinter. For a travelling party of 17 or more, vehicles are combined. Two examples:

  • 20 people: one Sprinter plus one VIP Vito.
  • 30 people: two Sprinters.

All vehicles in the group meet you at the same time in arrivals and drive to the same hotel, so nobody is left waiting at the terminal for a second run. The fleet page has photos and details, and our Sprinter group transfer guide goes into the larger van in detail.

Kit bags and equipment: tell us early

Seat count is only half the calculation. A squad travels with personal luggage plus team kit, medical cases, balls, poles, bikes or other sport-specific gear. To send the right vehicles, we need to know:

  • How many kit bags and equipment cases there are.
  • Their rough size, especially anything long, bulky or unusually heavy.
  • Whether staff or a kit manager will travel separately with the equipment.

With that information we can plan the combination so every bag fits alongside the passengers it belongs to. There is no luggage fee, however much the team brings; the price is per vehicle. For more on oversized items, see our guide to luggage, strollers and golf bags.

Information to send when booking

A single message with the following saves a lot of back and forth:

  • Arrival and departure flight numbers and times for each group, if the party is split across flights.
  • Total head count, with players and staff listed together.
  • The hotel or camp location (we only need it for routing).
  • The kit and equipment details described above.
  • A contact name and mobile number for the person in charge on the day.

We reply with a fixed quote within 1 minute on WhatsApp or by e-mail. There is no prepayment: payment is made in the vehicle, in cash, or by card if agreed when booking. Cancellation is free, which helps when a fixture list or travel plan changes late.

Trips during the camp

A training camp rarely stays inside the hotel gates for the whole stay. Friendly matches at another venue, a free afternoon in Antalya city, or sending an injured player or a staff member back to the airport early are all common. Each of these can be booked as a separate fixed-price transfer, sized to the number of people actually travelling: a Minivan for a physio and two players, a Sprinter for the match-day squad, or a combination for the whole party.

Give us the date, the time you need to leave and the destination, and the vehicles will be at the hotel entrance at that time. Because every ride is private, the vans carry only your group and make no stops on the way.

Arrival day at the terminal

On landing, the drivers wait in arrivals with a sign showing the club or group name you give us. The flight is tracked, so a delay simply moves the pickup and waiting is free; with a large squad, baggage reclaim alone can take a while, and that is expected. Once everyone is through, the bags go in, the head count is checked and the vehicles leave together.

All our transfers run under a D2 transfer permit from the Ministry of Transport, with passenger seat insurance on every vehicle. Clubs that combine a camp with golf or downtime for staff may also find our Belek golf transfer planning guide useful.

Departure day

The return works the same way in reverse. Send the departure flight times, and we will suggest a pickup time from the hotel that allows for the drive and for checking in a large group with a lot of hold baggage, which always takes longer than it does for a couple. From Belek the road part is only around 40 minutes. If the squad flies home on different flights, each group gets its own transfer at its own time, and the price for each stays fixed per vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions

We are 20 people. Which vehicles will you send?

One Mercedes Sprinter plus one VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito. Both meet you at the same time in arrivals and drive to the same hotel.

What about a party of 30?

Two Sprinters, each carrying up to 16 people, arriving and leaving together.

Do you charge extra for kit bags and equipment?

No, there is no luggage fee. Please tell us the number and size of bags and equipment so we send vehicles with enough space.

Can you take the team to a friendly match during the camp?

Yes. Trips to a match venue, into the city or back to the airport can be booked as separate fixed-price transfers.

How long is the drive from Antalya Airport to Belek?

About 33 km, usually around 40 minutes.

Is the price per player?

No. Prices are fixed per vehicle, so the cost depends on how many vehicles the squad needs, not on the head count.

Is the transfer private or shared?

All our transfers are 100% private; the vehicle is dedicated to your group only, with no other passengers.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

The price is per vehicle. One passenger or six pay the same fare in the same vehicle.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight live and adjust the pickup time to the new landing time, free of charge.

Is prepayment required?

No, standard bookings need no prepayment; you can pay the driver at the end of the transfer.
