Sarıgerme Beach Transfer: How to Get There by Private Car

Sarıgerme lies on the Muğla coast in the Ortaca district, between Dalaman and Dalyan. Its main attraction is a long, wide stretch of sand with a pine forest right behind it and small Baba Island just offshore. The sea shelves gently, so the water near the shore stays shallow for a good distance, which is why the beach is popular with families with small children.

Several large resort hotels sit behind the beach, but there are also public sections where day visitors can spend time on the sand. Loggerhead sea turtles nest on parts of this coast in summer, so please respect any marked nesting areas and local beach rules.

From Dalaman Airport (DLM) the beach is about 18 km away, roughly 22 minutes by road. The route follows the main road towards Ortaca and then turns south through farmland and forest to the coast, so the drive is short and easy even right after a flight.

Many guests also come from Dalyan, Ortaca, Köyceğiz, Göcek or Fethiye for a beach day. From Dalyan and Ortaca it is a short trip; from Göcek and Fethiye it is a longer but straightforward drive along the main coastal road. Your driver drops you at the nearest accessible point to the beach or at your hotel entrance, and picks you up there again at the agreed time.

In July and August the midday sun is strong, so the most pleasant hours are the morning and the late afternoon. Bring sun cream, a hat, water and beach shoes; the pine trees behind the sand give some natural shade. If you travel with small children, the shallow water makes Sarıgerme an easy choice.

You can combine the beach with nearby sights. Dalyan is close by, with the rock tombs of Kaunos, the river and İztuzu Beach, and Köyceğiz Lake is not far either. Tell us which places you want to see and we plan the route with you.

If you want more than a simple one-way ride, you can book a car with driver for your day out. Tell us your plan, we tell you what is possible: drop-off time, how long you want to stay and the pick-up time for the return are agreed when you book, so there is no need to look for a taxi at the end of the day.

If you are staying in Sarıgerme, we meet you in the arrivals hall at Dalaman Airport with a name sign. We track your flight, so if it is delayed the driver still waits at no extra cost, and there is no night surcharge and no luggage fee.

On your return day, plan to be at the airport 2–3 hours before an international flight; check your airline's advice. Because the airport is so close, the drive back is short, but we still recommend leaving with a comfortable margin in the high season.
