The tour at a glance
South of Kemer the Taurus Mountains drop steeply into the sea, leaving small coves, pine-covered headlands and water so clear you can see the seabed from the deck. This boat trip follows that coast between Kemer and Tekirova, mixing swimming and sunbathing with a look at one of the most beautiful ancient sites of the Lycian shore.
- Phaselis Bay – Phaselis was founded by settlers from Rhodes around the 7th century BC and grew rich as a trading port with three natural harbours. Its paved main street, theatre, baths and the arches of a Roman aqueduct stand among pine trees right by the water, and Alexander the Great is said to have spent a winter here.
- Three Islands – a cluster of small rocky islets off the Kemer coast, known for clear water, rock formations and fish; a favourite spot for snorkelling.
- Swim stops – the boat anchors in sheltered bays where you can swim straight off the deck.
- Boat lunch – lunch is often served on board on these trips; what is part of your day is confirmed when you book.
It suits families, couples and anyone who wants a relaxed day at sea with a bit of history.
Booking
How the day runs
The whole day takes about 8 hours including the transfers. A typical flow looks like this; the order of the stops depends on the wind, the sea and the captain's choice on the day:
- Pickup from your hotel and drive to the harbour in Kemer.
- Boarding and cruise south along the coast under the mountains.
- Swim stop at the Three Islands with time for snorkelling.
- Phaselis Bay: swimming by the ancient harbours, and depending on the programme a chance to see the ruins among the pines.
- Lunch break and further swim stops in quiet coves on the way back.
- Return to Kemer harbour in the afternoon and drive back to your hotel.
Good to know
Bring swimwear, a towel, a hat, sunglasses and high-factor sunscreen – the sun on the water is stronger than it feels. Water shoes help on pebbles and rocks, and a mask and snorkel make the island stops much more fun. If you are prone to seasickness, take your usual remedy before boarding; the sea is usually calm in summer but can be choppy on windy days.
Children enjoy the day, but keep them under supervision on deck and in the water, and tell the crew about non-swimmers so they can help with life jackets. If you walk among the ruins at Phaselis, wear sandals that grip, as the ground is uneven. A waterproof bag or phone pouch keeps your camera safe; the bays look their best in the morning light.
Pickup and transport
We pick you up from your hotel and bring you back after the boat trip, from the resorts of the Antalya region – Lara, Kundu, Konyaaltı, Belek, Side, Kemer, Alanya and the places in between. From Side or Alanya the drive to Kemer is naturally longer, so pickup is earlier. The pickup time depends on where your hotel is and is given to you when you book.
You travel in our own vehicles: a minivan of the VW Caravelle class, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito or a Mercedes Sprinter for larger parties. If you prefer a private version with only your own group, just ask. Child seats are free on request.
