The tour at a glance

Adrasan is a quiet bay south of Olympos, framed by pine-covered mountains and far from the big resorts. A short sail offshore lies Suluada, a rocky island whose small beach of fine white sand and shallow turquoise water have earned it the nickname of the Turkish Maldives. Its name means "water island", after a freshwater spring that once supplied passing sailors. The coast between them is part of a protected landscape with steep cliffs, sea caves and coves you can only reach by boat.

  • Adrasan harbour – the boats leave from the long beach and small harbour of Adrasan.
  • Suluada beach – swimming and relaxing on the island's white sand in exceptionally clear water.
  • Caves and coves – stops by sea caves and secluded bays along the cliffs, ideal for snorkelling.
  • Fresh lunch – on these trips lunch is often prepared on board; what is part of your day is confirmed when you book.

This longer format gives more time at sea and in the quieter bays. It suits couples, families who like swimming and anyone looking for a calmer alternative to the busy coastal boats.

How the day runs

Plan on about 10 hours in total. Adrasan lies in the far south-west of the region, so the drive is a real part of the day: roughly two hours from Antalya city and longer from Side or Alanya. A typical flow:

  • Early pickup from your hotel and drive along the coast road past Kemer to Adrasan.
  • Boarding at Adrasan and sailing along the cliffs towards Suluada.
  • Long stop at Suluada for swimming and time on the beach.
  • Lunch break and stops at caves and coves on the way, depending on the sea.
  • Return to Adrasan harbour in the afternoon and drive back to your hotel.

The captain decides the order of the stops on the day according to the wind and the waves.

Good to know

Bring swimwear, a towel, a hat, sunglasses and plenty of high-factor sunscreen; there is little shade on the island and the sun reflects strongly off the white sand. A mask and snorkel are well worth packing, and water shoes help on the rocks. On the island, please take all rubbish back to the boat – it is a protected and fragile place.

The sea on the open stretch to Suluada can be choppy on windy days, so take a remedy before boarding if you are prone to seasickness. Children enjoy the shallow water, but keep them under supervision and tell the crew about non-swimmers. Because of the long drive and the early start, the day is best for travellers who are comfortable with several hours in the car. A waterproof bag keeps phones and cameras safe for the photos of the turquoise water.

Pickup and transport

We pick you up from your hotel and bring you back after the trip, from the resorts of the Antalya region – Lara, Kundu, Konyaaltı, Belek, Side, Kemer, Alanya and the places in between. Hotels in Kemer are closest; from Side or Alanya the pickup is much earlier. The pickup time depends on where your hotel is and is given to you when you book.

You travel in our own vehicles: a minivan of the VW Caravelle class, a VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito or a Mercedes Sprinter for larger parties. If you prefer a private version with only your own group, just ask. Child seats are free on request.

You pay in the vehicle on the day, in cash or by card if agreed. What is included (entrance tickets, meals, equipment) is confirmed when you book, including lunch on board.
