From Ölüdeniz to Dalaman Airport it is about 63 km, and the drive usually takes around 70 minutes: first the climb up through Hisarönü and Ovacık, then the main road past Fethiye, through the Göcek tunnel and on to Dalaman. Airlines generally recommend arriving two to three hours before an international departure – check your own airline's advice – and in summer it is wise to add a little extra for traffic around Fethiye.

• Afternoon flight at 16:30: aim to be at the airport by about 14:00. Take off 70 minutes of driving and a 30–40 minute summer buffer, and a pick-up at about 12:15 is right.
• Early flight at 07:00: aim for the airport by about 04:30. The roads are quiet at night, so a pick-up at around 03:15 usually works.

Check-out time often comes well before an afternoon flight. Many hotels let you leave your bags in a luggage room, so you can spend a last morning on the beach or watch the paragliders drifting down from Babadağ before your pick-up. Your driver comes to the hotel entrance or villa gate at the agreed time and helps with your luggage.

If you are staying on the hillside above the bay, with a steep drive or narrow access, tell us when booking and we will plan the pick-up point accordingly. As always, the vehicle is yours alone: no shared shuttle, no other hotels on the way.
