East along the coast
The transfer from Kundu to Side is about 59 km and usually takes around 1 hour 5 minutes. Leaving the Kundu hotel strip, the car joins the D400 main road and heads east, passing the turn-offs for Belek and the farmland around Serik before reaching the Manavgat area, where it turns towards the sea and Side.
This is mostly an open highway, so the drive is fairly predictable. In high summer the stretches near town centres and junctions can slow down, especially late in the morning and in the early evening. Hotels in the Side area are spread along the coast on both sides of the old town, so the exact time also depends on your address.
Moving to Side for the second week
A common plan is to begin the holiday in Kundu, close to the city and the airport, and then move to Side for the rest of the stay – or to start in Side and finish near Antalya. With about an hour between them, a hotel change fits easily into one morning: check out, travel with all your luggage in one vehicle, and arrive in time for lunch.
Rooms at the new hotel are often ready only in the afternoon, so ask in advance about a luggage room or early check-in. You can then head straight to the beach or the pool while you wait.
A day in Side and choosing a vehicle
Side is also a favourite day out from Kundu. The old town sits on a small peninsula, with ancient ruins right next to the harbour and lanes full of shops and restaurants. Book the ride there and back together and agree the pick-up time for the return before you set off, so you can enjoy the day without watching the clock.
The transfer is private, with no shared shuttle and no stops at other hotels. The Minivan (1–6 passengers) suits couples and families, the VIP Mercedes-Benz Vito (1–7) adds comfort for the hour on the road, and the Mercedes Sprinter carries groups of 8–16. Child seats are free on request.
